Super Mario Galaxy for Nintendo Wii - Image 1Media Create recently released Japan's software sales figures for October 29 to November 4, revealing the inevitable rise to the top of Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii after selling 251,000 copies in its first week. Namco Bandai takes second place with Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, spearheading the charge joined by The Idolmaster and Earth Defense Forces 3 to improve the Microsoft Xbox 360's reputation in the land of the rising sun.

As usual, Nintendo DS titles took up almost half of Japan's top 30. Square Enix' Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire continues to experience healthy sales along with novel collection DS Bungaku Zenshuu and mystery thriller DS Nishimura Kyotaro Suspense Shin Tantei Series: Kyoto Atami Zekkai no Kotou - Satsui no Wana to support Ninty's handheld.

Usual prospects for top-selling Nintendo Wii titles are still around, including Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Mario Party 8. Sony joined the list with Sony PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable games, but no PlayStation 3 entry made the cut. Find the list below and see for yourself.

How do people say Nintendo is innovative when 4 out of that list of 30 has "Mario" in it. Enough with the damn Mario games, ENOUGH.

» your point?

Your point is either no ps3 games have staying power or the ps3 lacks new releases. Either one makes you look stupid and not us. Well done my friend.

» well.

Well me and you both know that the only real "Mario" game is Galaxy. All the rest of them just have his name, or should I say "Brand" on them.
