Media Create Japanese hardware and software charts: PSP is king of the hardware hill, Resident Evil 5 scores big |

The PlayStation Portable proved to be the king of the hardware hill for the week of March 2 to March 8 Japan. Combined sales of the DS Lite and DSi put the Nintendo handheld at second place. The PS3 also did good, outselling the Wii 2 to 1. The Xbox 360, meanwhile, was just six thousand units behind the Wii, no doubt due to the recent release of Resident Evil 5.

who's ur daddy uh? PS3 on top again, as it should be. Funny thing how big is da difference between biohazard 5 for PS3 and 360...
Hardly anyone in Japan owns a 360. That's why RE5 PS3 is so much higher.
I hope something like this gets devs to think about supporting the PS3 more. Sure it's a big number on one game, but devs probably won't think of it on that issue and will only look at the big number(hopefull y.)
So hopefully the games are all multiconsole or exclusive to Sony. We all know that Sony really needs some exclusives. Hardly getting any compared to the 360 getting them left and right(only a couple being good though)
Monster Hunter Portable 2G is still in 9th place. That game came out about a year ago.

it's pretty hard to make developers think on making more ps3 games when it's not widely embraced worldwide. but of course more marketing and advertising from sony would do it. it just needs a little push on the worldwide market. japan rocks... to bad i can't understand japanese. i guess it's time to study and polish your japanese language. it's quite helpful in many ways like for animes and of course games. haha
Sony's got several big exclusives coming though (including God of War III and Uncharted 2) which far outclass anything I've seen announced for Xbox360 at present.
This ones listed as 'PSP The Best'. Ain't that their Greatest Hits/Platinum thing. Guess a cheaper price renewed interest in a game the japanese already love to bits anyways.
I saw it too and i though they maybe talk about old charts but when i check it back it never say anything about the old charts so i guess its a typo, QJ.net fix it on lol :)

This is getting so old hearing about sony and their exclusives. Anyone that owns a ps3 has been playing awesome exclusive games for quite some time now and starting last year the quality of these games jumped off the charts. Easily equal to if not better than 360 for 2008 (MGS4 and LBP winning goty awards)and 2009 is looking awesome as well. Killzone 2 speaks for itself. You are right about only a couple of the 360 exclusives being good though. As for the rest, I don't give a damn about them because they suck and wouldn't waste my time playing them even if they were on my system of choice which happens to be ps3. Quality over quantity any day. Good to see ps3 selling so well over seas.
Wow, theres only 14,994 brain dead people in Japan. That's alot less than in the US.
