Here's the latest from Media Create. Hardware sales results for the week of September 21 through September 27 show the DSi still on top, with the PS3 at a distant second.Check out the numbers below:

Why DSI selling so well when it's just a re-make of a Out of date hardware?
I guess Kids will buy anything the tv tells them to LOL
anyone else seeing a 360 advert when they mouse over the PS3 text in the first paragraph?

You can't really expect the DS/i too lose so easily right? You only need 1 PS3 for one household while that same household can buy one DS/i for each person.
I have 1 ps3, 1 psp, and 4 DS' in my house... Dont as me how, I mean even my mom has a pink DS. It is worth noting however that none of these DS' have been turned on in the past few months.
It's not about winning or systems vs Handhelds, I am only pointing out that Why is there so many people buying a re-made DS ? Ooooo it has a camera.... My only guess is that it's Dumb kids with Dumb moms and dads.

peoples mums, sisters, girlfriends and pre teens are the people that primarily own the nintendo consoles this gen.
I don't see ads anymore. I use Mozilla with adblock.
I'm haing two PS3's. One for me and one for my girlfriend so that she can play her games/watch blu rays without hogging my console and also if we want to play the same online game together like Uncharted 2.
Pardon me but aren't Sony selling a redesigned version of their 2005 handheld for £230 (£20 less than a PS3)?
The DSi sells well because it's an update to the best selling games console of all time with the best games (likely) ever.

Look at this alone. 5 years old is still a little too young for a DS. 6 is about right. So, if you look at how many kids alone turn 6 EVERY DAY, based on that alone you start to "get it".
Add everyone else that simply wants one because they want one.
There is nothing outdated about a console that delivers FUN GAMES to someone.
DS got many playable retro games , and that what handled was made too
So psp go won't be in the charts till after Nov, when it releases in Japan

I bought a DS at launch and the red black one with mario kart when it was released.....since I have given both away (one to a gf and the other to a buddy). If I were to buy another DS (which I have considered) it would be a DSi.....so I don't see why you are so confused zzk2001
