"For us to win the next generation war, we have to hit home with Japan". Myself, I absolutely hate MS and I live in the USA. Absolutely horrible products. Makes my job that much harder. Thankfully there are real developers out there that program open-source.

The 360 has brought nothing new to gameplay rather thain upgraded graphics, and no im no Nintendo Fanboy I have a DS and PSP amungst other consoles.

Why are people still buying the SP though? DS is only a few pennies more expensive and plays everything :/

did i not say that of all the people i know they have a PSP, smartarse. learn how to read and learn how to shut up too. it will go down well with your fellow human beings. the DS sucks mainly for the reason that the graphics are worse and the stupid gimiky touch screen, what the hell? The PSP is much better and everyone knows it.

please... psp is better/ ds is better..
it really shows your mental age.

If you had any sense you would realise that better graphics are more of a gimmick than a touch screen. Good games dont need good graphics. The fact that currently the DS has at least 2-3 times as many good games as the PSP is proof of that.
Stop being such a child.

Proof is based on fact, so you must also stop being such a child

"According to industry sources, more than 160,000 Xbox 360s were sold in February. That compares to more than 300,000 PlayStation 2's, more than 170,000 PlayStation Portables, and over 150,000 Nintendo DS units sold during the month of February."
thus, sales are much more stronger in the US...also with the price cut for the PSP, it's natural for sales to remain strong...

than explain why the sega saturn failed and sega couldnt make any money with it despite it doing wonderfully in asia and japan outselling the N64.

You say that graphics advance the gameplay while dismissing the touchscreen? Thats just insane. The DS graphics are fine, they are functional and work well when used correctly.... especially when you consider the vast ammount of exta battery life the DS gets. PSP is much more a home console, the DS is a true portable.
The PSP is great, yes, a fantastic media machine that can look truely brilliant, especially movies - but the DS is more advanced as a game machine.
I'm far from a handheld fanboy since I have 2 PSPs and only one DS and Ive played both fairly equally (but hell, I'll freely admit I'm a Gamecube fanboy because I firmly think its the finest console we've ever seen) - but I have had much more fun on DS.

And for the guy who says he's from the UK- I'm from the UK too and many of the people who I know that own PSPs are looking to get DSes because there haven't been any decent games in ages.
Games sell consoles, not graphics. That's why the PS2 is the market leader and the Xbox and Gamecube are second.

What's more, the PSP is frustrating because of the long load times. When I'm on the go, I just want to play as soon as I flip the lid up (another knock on the fragile PSP) and not wait 15-30 seconds to even get to press the Start button. Not to mention a screen that ghosts. The PSP is being used as a movie player by myself and my friends. Only recently has it been booted up for games (Syphon F and Katamari).
The DS brings many things to the handheld table (touch screen games, mic, something akin to a mouse/kb config in the thumb stylus) and hey, we're having a blast despite the N64'ish graphics. When the graphics capability isn't very good, you focus on gameplay. It's been awesome so far.
I do think though that the PSP has almost caught up in sales in both Europe and the US. Looks has everything to do with it and I'm surprised the first ed DS looked that ugly. I'm gonna trade mine in for a DS lite when it gets released stateside.

DS lite is of course on top, and being a new and better DS that's already popular, and 2 new colours just released, that was obviously gonna happen.
And onto the argument of DS vs PSP, i have to say that i prefer the DS, simply because it's a hell of a lot more fun. The other features are pretty useless to me, as i've got an ipod for most features. The DS definately feels like a handheld, unlike the fragile PSP, which i never played away from home from fear of breaking it.
Before i decided to sell it, my PSP really felt like a $400 paperweight (i'm an Aussie, it costs a lot), and for the price i sold it for, i got a DS, 4 games and hours more fun.
As soon as the DS lite comes out in more places, the little handheld will look good compared to the PSP, and will definately boost sales. I mean, lets face it,the original DS is pretty damn ugly.

And plz dont go into the whole graphics thing with me, that is the stupidest reason why a game console is better than another.
Graphics dont matter, its all about gameplay. i.e. Contra for NES? anyone ever play that? still considered to be one of the greatest games out there. I still play that to this day. I know a lot of people who still do.
I like the 360, i'm not amazed at it, graphics are great but thats basically it about the system. I basically bought it for Perfect dark, which turned out to be a little bit of a let down. NBA live 2006 was just horrible, graphic glitchs up the a**. Madden 2006 had so many freakin roughing the passer calls it was insane.
I mean other than call of duty 2 and PGR3 everything else was just ok. so if your suprised 360 lost, dont be. Cause we have already had 8 customers sell us their 360 consoles. No disrespect to MS though, but i think they released the system too early

"that sucks. it can't be british cos we all hate the ds up here. everybody i know has a psp and i know only one person who has a ds and he already has a psp anyway."

It covers a lot of consoles. Most news posts are limited to a particular console, but ones like this cover multiple consoles.
And one more thing:
DS > PSP
Have a nice day. :)

DS SUCKS get over it and move on. its like comparing a origanl GB, to a GBA. Games are much better, system hardware is better and stronger, graphics are better, screen is better, buttons are better, shape is better, need I go on?

It doesn't matter which system is more powerful, it matters which system is more fun. That was proven years ago in Game Boy Vs. Game Gear. ;)
