Manhunt 2 to be marketed responsibly - Image 1Following the recent decision by the Video Appeals Committee (VAC) to allow Manhunt 2 (Nintendo Wii, PlayStation Portable) to be sold, Rockstar has made an announcement, saying that the company is happy with the decision, and that it will market Manhunt 2 responsibly.

The company's statement reads,

We are pleased that the VAC has reaffirmed its decision recognizing that Manhunt 2 is well within the bounds established by other 18+ rated entertainment.

Rockstar Games is committed to making great interactive entertainment, while also marketing our products responsibly and supporting an effective rating system.

One thing we can definitely say is that it's a victory for gamers in the UK. Let's just hope the advertisements for the game are a bit more tasteful and placed in the appropriate places so that it sells well without getting flak from advocacy groups.
