Madden NFL 09 Online League, Virtual Training Center, first footage touchdown |
Ó
In the next season of Madden, Electronic Arts promises surprises that will substantially improve the American football experience. The first step, announcing retired Brett Favre as cover athlete of Madden NFL 09 (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, DS), was already taken. Now, a couple of designers talk about the most interesting features this year.First up, the sought after Online League will finally be introduced in Madden NFL 09. Up to 32 players can choose teams then go online and endure an entire season. It may sound difficult to put together, but Ryan Ferwerda and Daniel Castorani from the Madden Design Team explained how to orchestrate these dream leagues.
Devs stated that AI won't be employed to replace actual players. Online League was intended to offer one-on-one experiences, so it's only possible to begin a league other humans. To make sure you won't be stuck staring at the online lobby when looking for matches for too long, there's the Flex system.
Here's how Ferwerda and Castorani explained Flex:
Flex scheduling is cool for a multitude of reasons. First off, flex scheduling is what we refer to as an 'open schedule' with no set order. What this means is that if you log online and ten members of your twenty member league are online, you can play any of your opponents that you have remaining games with.
The nice thing about this is that it doesn't allow for leagues to get stale or held up waiting for others to play. If the stars align, and you have all of your opponents online, you can, in theory, knock out your entire league in one day.
Not overwhelming enough? EA also unleashed the first gameplay video of Madden NFL 09, and you can find it below. You'll find the interview by following the via link.

Looks like 08, 07, 06... geez oh man. Make them move more realistically. I remember when EA bashed the other game companies by saying something along the lines of, "Just because you have amazing graphics that make it look like a real person, you still have to make them move and act like a real person." So *****in' show that in a football game EA. They fall over slow, they walk like they have stick up their asses, no one has any any kind of signature motions that only they do, I understand they have to make one every single year (or else EA will lose a bajillion katrillion dollars) but damn, you re-hash it so much, you should be able to fix this.
This is now the sorriest freaking game series besides Live. EA absolutely no idea of how to make a damn good football or basketball game. It should be illegal for them to have the NFL license until 2011. Nothing about Madden has been good since maybe 2002 or later. As the last poster said it is nothing be consistent bu||$hit released year after year. From them doing superman jumps while running top speed to them slap passes down with stretch armstrong like arms to smacking passes around off like 12 players until it hits the ground. NFL 2K5 was on to something and its f\/cKed up that they bought the license because they had real competition.
Try to play 2kgames for money not likely. I won $40 this week playing Nba Live. Point is serious players like EA sports games.
Your point is "serious" players win money playing crappy games?
Because anybody in their right mind would not have made a dumb comment like that. 2k has the more serious realistic games while EA only make arcade style games. 2k invests time into making a game worth spending your money on EA makes games with the attempt to trick you with the illusion of a good game because of the year and whose on the cover of its title. Everybody has their opinion and likes for games but dont sit here and serious players like EA games because if QJ.net and any other sites post polls asking which company makes better quality Sports and other genre games 2k will win that argument. Now if your looking at history EA has a better track record pre- 2005. Since 2k has been the better company period. Also you can play Nba 2k8 for money sh|t you can play any game for money if your a real gamer.
