LucasArts won't be announcing new games in E3 due to 'noise' *UPDATE* |

LucasArts, home of the Jedi franchises and more besides, has decided not to announce any new games during E3 this year, explaining that there's "too much noise" surrounding the event, referring to to the bad publicity the event's been getting lately.Last month, LucasArts had left E3's host group, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), along with a number of other publishers for reasons that are still unclear (although there are strong ideas about what's happening behind the scenes).
Some LucasArts games we would have liked some confirmation on are the ones that were supposedly leaked by an employee that was recently given the boot. The leak said that two Indiana Jones games are in the works, one with a Lego theme, and one that isn't. We'd also have loved to hear if the new Knights of the Old Republic game is really an MMORPG.
Although they won't be announcing any new games, we hope to hear more on those that they do have in development, such as Star Wars Battlefront 3, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PSP, DS).
In case you were also worried about the state of these games following the massive layoff LucasArts recently went through, the studio also remarked that internal development of projects is still continuing. Outside sources also confirm that the layoffs did not affect game development.
*UPDATE*
LucasArts' announcement was met with some initial confusion, leading some to believe that they will not be attending E3 this year. They have responded to this, clarifying that they are still going to participate in the event.

My company manufactures relevant product to justify going to E3, of which we always have, except for the last three years. While they accept our registration they later DENY our registration.
LAME!
