LocoRoco downloadable demo tomorrow |
Ó

Sony Entertainment just announced that LocoRoco will be available in 2006 July but for those who can't wait there will be a downloadable trial version release on April 25th, alongside of Sony's latest firmware creation, 2.70. In LocoRoco, your mission in life is to sing, roll, and bounce your way through obstacles to the end of each level, while eating fruit to get fat. The demo can be played on either your PC, or PSP (the first downloadable PSP game demo!) with one restriction: you must have firmware 2.70 to play it. Another requirement would be that the firmware of your PSP should be 2.70. If you are still wondering what the heck is this game is about, check out our previous coverage [here].

Another requirement would be Firmware 2.70 . . . :)
Dis shis bai foo's!
You can play it on PC?!
Im so happy that i have a psp-1000!! LocoRoco seems to be really fun.
I get why it can be played on PC and PSP, it's a flash game. Makes perfect sense 'coz it mentions nothing about the GAME folder yet.
well thats a kick in the teeth i got all excited for a min then read you needed 2.7 argh hope there will be some hackers out there to make this work on the older firmware :)
Game looks promising, can't wait to try the demo. I hope us europeans will get the firmware update soon ...
with 2.70, if not that is dumb as hell.....
where can you download it to play on your pc? and if its a flash game si the full game also gonna be a flash game?
It's probably just a flash game with mapped buttons that's why you can use it on the PC aswell.
"you must have firmware 2.70 to play it. Another requirement would be that the firmware of your PSP should be 2.70."
right.
Haha, why can't QJ just hire better bloggers.
This will be good.. Maybe homebrew flash games or ports?
OMFG SONY FOCKING OWEND
lol let all teh noobs upgrade for this game and ask if eLoader will work and flood the forums with useless question. [TOP]=Typed On PSP
Sounds a lot like Katamari Damacy, only duller.
if the demo will be flash based, that's a good thing, that way we can open up the demofile and see how the controls are used, that way we can make our own games for the psp in flash. sure it's no C+ or so, but you can make some nice stuff in flash, if you know how, you can even make 3D using swift
another kick in the teeth for sony, the more they push FW updates down out throats, the more determined we will be not to upgrade and have to end up pirating *****
lets wait to tommorow....and see how many people play it...
Flash games to me dont look that good.
The blogger miss read the site, it says that you can download it to the PC, then send it accross to the PSP, much like you can for the firmware updates.
Why would they make a demo of a full game in flash?
Yea, I'll stick with homebrew. I've waited way to long for homebrew to get to 2.6. I'm not just gonna lose it cuz of this demo. I hope this firmware has flash support.
where would one download this demo from
Put two and two together. If it can be played on PC, and only played on FW 2.7 then it is a FLASH.
just use the flash player app tahts out already... maybe it works
I don't know japanese, so it isn't easy for me finding the way to play the PC demo...
Can anybody give me instructions to do this, if there is such thing?
he said you need firmware 2.70, then he said another requirement would be 2.70
lol, don't go so fast!
or it could be an attempt by sony to get people to upgrade by offering regular game demos
I know its freakin ridiculous...I mean heck, if they dont want to hire people who at least can blog right, can they at least get an editor of some sort to go over would-be blogs before posting them?
This site was really good content wise, but once they started hiring all these craptastic bloggers, its gone downhill.
If I didn't know better, I'd say this whole site is now a joke.
The fake news about a Daxter PSP Bundle and Giga Pack price drop in Europe was only the beginning.
in holland we hava a daxter pack and it costs 249 euro
If this was a flash game, and the psp would be allowed to play flash, then homebrewers and flash people could make cool stuff for psp also.
Wut another sh*tty way to motivate people to update. First a half-a**ed job on the update, and now they tempt us with a horrible game demo. I think i might sell my psp tommorrow and try to forget the whole thing.
Well, what about figuring out the code in the flash demo, and then making all sorts of games, apps, and emulators on the PSP! That would be way better and faster than the eLoader (No offense intended, the eLoader is ingenius!), since you wouldn't have to wait for GTA and the eLoader to boot up. Of course, I can see limitations to this method right now...
Maybe you should learn how to type first you ignorant *****.
Kids like you shouldn't be allowed to even have a PSP... or use the internet.
Reply to " 19. » Its not in flash..."
I considered that they misread it as such, but the 2.7 update said nothing about the GAME folder, and isn't that game folder update due in the fall? Iz why I figured it's flash.
i bet its only available in japan via that playstationspot thing that they have over there
the problem is....many ppl dont have jap. PSPs...so it would be useless for non-jap consoles

demo here
the demo is a EBOOT.PBP...
In " the PSP " folder, the folder of the name, " GAME " is drawn up.
In " the GAME " folder, the folder of the name, " UCJS10041 " is drawn up.
When as for file name of the trial version data you call " the EBOOT.PBP " and downloading please retain with while is.

im playing, is there anyway to make the text english?
The demo can be played on either your PC, or PSP
can some explain how to play on PC??
how do i get and install it on my psp, my japanese is a bit rusty.
how do i get and install it on my psp, my japanese is a bit rusty.
As I said in post 19, this isn't playable on the PC, the blogger read the site wrong.
To play it, create a folder called UCJS10041 inside the GAME folder and place to eboot inside it.
The eboot is downloaded direct from this link:
