A couple of new Level-5 games for the Sony PlayStation Portable have been announced in the latest issue of Japanese gaming mag Famitsu. These games will be the studio's second and third titles for the PSP, the first being 2006's Jeanne d'Arc.

The first is game Ushiro, a horror RPG where players take on the role of shinigami. As a shinigami, you can observe, possess, and fulfill the wishes of a person who has exhausted their lives by attaching yourself to them.

The second game is called Cardboard Senki. This one is supposed a brand new type of RPG where you control an upgradeable mini-robot called LBX. You navigate LBX in environments made of cardboard.

Both of these games are scheduled for release in Japan next year. They do sound mighty interesting, especially Cardboard Senki, and Level-5 has always had a pretty good track record. I'm hoping both of these games get released outside Japan.

Yes yes, Jeanne D'arc was an excellent masterpiece for the PSP. Also, this Ushiro sounds a lot like Valkyrie Profile Lenneth.
