Leipzig Bests named; Resistance: Retribution takes top wins |

The Beijing Olympics has already wrapped up and on the other side of the world, the Leipzig Games Convention is just about ready to take their banner down in the events venue. However, with all the goods that came out from the conference, there's still a lot of much ado about which presentation takes the cake.
Well the Leipzig Messe has decided, and on its sixth consecutive run in the show, this year's top accolades go to Sony's upcoming PSP title, Resistance: Retribution. What gave it the edge among other contenders were its technically impressive graphics and intuitive controls. Having that 8-player online multiplayer thrown in for good measure also made the icing a tad more sweeter for gamers all around.
As for the other winners at Leipzig 2008:
- Best PS3 game - LittleBigPlanet (Sony)
- Best Xbox 360 game - MirrorÂ’s Edge (EA)
- Best Wii game - Skate It (EA)
- Best PC game - Spore (EA)
- Best PSP game - Resistance: Retribution (Sony)
- Best DS game - Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (SEGA)
- Best Mobile game - PES 2009 (Konami)
- Best Online game - Warhammer Online: Day of Reckoning (Mythic)

Thats prety stupid, y would the 360 get mirrors edge when even its developers said the ps3 version would be much better.
Maybe, because the other 360 didn't appeal to them so they settle for a multi console game

the developers said the ps3 is the lead platform for the game's development (just like burnout paradise was), but they didn't say it would be better than the 360 version.

look, i'm a ps3 fan, but you have to be retarded to think the 360 is dead. i didn't think it would be a popular as it is, and back in 2005, i thought the ps3 would overtake it within one or two years (before they delayed the ps3 that is). so respect to ms for the 360, it's a good console with some great games (i still think the ps3 is a better console though. :P).
All I needed to see was Little Big Planet taking home the gold. I'm seriously more hyped for that game than I was for MGS4 (and I was HYPED for that)!

***** Mirrors Edge, It should of been Gears Of War 2. I aint saying that Mirrors Edge aint good, but gears is way better.
