Metal Gear Solid Existence - Image 1

Even before the so-called "last" installment in Solid Snake's adventure was released, there were already talks of the next Metal Gear title. Hideo Kojima himself said that, though Snake's story arc may have already gotten closure, that doesn't mean to say that the franchise is at an absolute end.

Whatever the case may be, and whoever's story line (Johnny Sasaki?!) the next Metal Gear title might follow, Konami has filed a new trademark for the franchise: Metal Gear Solid: Existence. Note the inclusion of "Solid" in the trademark.

First instinct might have you think it's probably going to take MGS4 and follow Kojima Productions' line of enhanced editions, much like what they did for MGS2: Substance and MGS3: Subsistence. Now with an "MGS4: Existence", everything comes to full circle... or not.

Again, note the trademark. They excluded the "4", so chances are it might not have anything to do with Guns of the Patriots.

Nothing else is known about Metal Gear Solid Existance, other than Konami registering the name. It could be anything from a new title for the PSP, or maybe some form of DLC available on the PSN. You could even go so far as assuming this as the title of the feature-length movie they're planning, or, of course, the actual "MGS5" that Ryan Payton pretty much already confirmed a few weeks ago.

» Lol...

It's gonna be 360's trimmed down crappy version of MGS4 on 3 DVD-9's.

360 fans rejoice!

Its a compilation of 6 MG/MGS games, like the first three MGS games were "The Essential Collection".

MGS: Existence will have 6 games on 2 BRDVD with a Bonus BRDVD, so that 3 BRDVDs all together.

Disc 1:

Metal Gear

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake

Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Disc 2:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

..... of course I'm just bullsh*tting

» maybe..

» @solidus4prex

» Existence sounds better than...

4.5

» maybe...

It's a compilation every single Metal Gear game released in Existence. Get it?

Or maybe it's just a movie version of MGS4..or the name of the movie itself...or a movie chronicling all of the MG's so far that are canonical.

Either way, we don't have enough stuff to back any of these theories up.

» Actually

If you people ever got the MGS3 LE version, you would get a 3rd disc named Existence and it was MGS3 in a movie form.

FACT THERE WAS AN METAL GEAR SOLID EXISTENCE but it was a movie bundled with MGS3 limited edition.

It was Hideos version of MGS3 in movie form.

Compilation, are you joking? kid, you have got to be joking, they already released a compilation with MGS1, 2, and 3 called Essentials.

Yes I know it didnt have MG1 and 2. But MGS3 Subsistance had it on second disc but they took the second disc out of Essentials.

But you do know that half of the Metal Gear Solid games are exclusive to some consoles and even Hideo will NOT port them. If you mean The Twin Snakes, he made a deal with Nintendo NOT to port it to any system and he loves Nintendo just as much as Sony because of Miyamoto.

More like every MGS game thats ever been on a Sony platform NOT PSP.

But thats already been done.

Existance is either MGS4 with new name or its gonna be a MGS3 all over again.

Where they make movies out of MGS1, 2, and 4 and put them into the next MGS4 game and it will be called EXISTENCE!

From what I have been checking out, I think Kojimas gonna name MGS4 a new name and add another movie disc just like MGS3 Subsistence known as Existence.

It will be MGS3 Existence, MGS4 Existence and so on and they will be movies basically with the new version of the game.

» Hahahaha! Darkschneider, You Make Us Laugh, Really

just as the name implies,

its just a collector's edition,

it will be a 2 BR Disc set,

Disc 1 is MGS4 Guns Of The Patriots of course and

Disc 2 will contain the Cinemas with commentary option and a cool menu like the Digital Graphic Novel on PSP. plus exclusive footage's, artwork and stuffs.

and its ONLY for PS3.

» Existance

Existance is more than likely MGS4: Existance, sure it doesnt have the "4" on it, but neither did Substance or Subsistance when registering websites or w/e it is. Still, I think they could've removed the "4" because.. well theres no need to create another 4 like the other 2 games (3 technically.. Integrial) There'd be a way to add in content to the already existing game, maybe even a video of what happens after all of that opening up a few whatifs for the next title.

And don't forget, the MGO that came with MGS4 was a Starter Pack, MGS: Existance could most likely be something to do with Online. MGO's MEME Expansion as been announced, along with a 3rd expansion without a name, Existance could be it.
