It will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Games for Windows platforms.
One of the more interesting features of this title include the Konami-developed AI system called Teamvision. Basically, this programming learn new ways to build attacks and to counter specific movements and to learn from previous attacking or defensive errors. This means that the system adapts to an individual's style of play.
Creator of the series and producer of PES 2008 Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka mentioned that their team took the time to figure out what makes the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise so popular, and they started from there. He explained:
With the new Teamvision AI system, we truly believe that we have elevated the game to a new level. The movement of players off the ball, coupled with the total control given to the player, creates the closest simulation of real football to date. We really hope everyone enjoys our evolution. I promise it will be worth the wait.
Konami added that fans can get their hands on Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 starting this autumn.

Being from the UK, loving football is pretty much a standard, it's part of us, so naturally I cannot wait! Let's just hope that there will be more licensed leagues and teams and stadiums and everything, and the online is great, and this AI lives up to what they say, and the gameplay is still spot on!

what "And the battle for the best soccer video game title continues" which battle? fifia = retarded, threre is no battle, fifa is a button mashing soccer game, you dont need brains to play it and win.
while if you button mash in pes youl get raped, very hard.
I just hope they deliver this time...PES6 on the 360 is a travesty. I wasn't too keen on it at first (after playing every single version since ISS/WE on the SNES) but then playing the PS2 version of PES6 recently it really shows how bad the 360 game is.
Ill buy the game regardless of how many liscensed teams there are but if there are as few as in the last few then Im definetly getting the PC version so I can patch it cuz superpatch 1.0 for pes6 was absolutely sublime
Just fix the awful referee's AI and all will be well again...
And also do smthg to stop the two-time goals (GK pushes the ball to another striker).
