Kojima's Snatcher comes back -- but to radio

Followers of Hideo Kojima would very well be familiar with Snatcher, his "original" baby that came in a cyberpunk-graphic adventure package. It appears that the famed game creator has reunited with his first love, albeit with a catch.

As reports would have it, Kojima has teamed up with Goichi Suda (aka Suda 51) for scriptwriting duties, and Akira Yamaoka, composer for Silent Hill, for a radio play featuring Snatcher. A what? A radio play. As in you'll have to tune in to the radio to follow the happenings in this reincarnation.

Despite it being Kojima's brainchild, however, further information reveal that the radio drama will be taking on the title "Suda 51's Sdatcher". We're not exactly sure what's up with that change in spelling, though, although what we can tell you is that Sdatcher will definitely be released as part of Hideradio's 300th broadcast.

That's just four episodes away, given that the radio show is currently on episode 296. The respected game maker was previously quoted as saying that Americans prefer to play games where shooting aliens are involved. Surprisingly too, the MGS creator confessed that he actually hated getting the game on NES. He first announced Sdatcher as "Project S" back in 2007.
