Koei: Warriors Orochi series exceeds 1.5 million sales - Image 1Here's some big news for the guys who happen to be fans of Koei's Musou Orochi (Warriors Orochi) series of games. Famitsu has disclosed that as of last week, worldwide shipments of the game series have exceeded the 1.5 million mark. Going into specifics, here's the breakdown of the game's sales across the consoles:
  • Warriors Orochi:
  • Warriors Orochi 2: Rebirth of the Demon Lord :
    • PlayStation 2: 391,731
As a recap, Warriors Orochi is a crossover of Koei and Omega Force's Dynasty Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors 2 titles. A total of 79 characters are in the game, with players seeking to ally themselves for or against Orochi, the Serpent King.

Warriors Orochi 2 in particular was released just last month, April 3, to the territories of Japan. To commemorate this event, the devs are also releasing five new Warriors Orochi 2 posters over at the game's official site. Further details and links to the wallpapers are available via the source link below.

» I really hope this will...

make them port over Orochi2 over to US version (especially for PSP) sooner... although I already played it on PS2 with 1 more char to unlock for the Wei last mission. If you haven't played 2 yet it is a lot better than the first one ;)
