Sony's been really busy as of late, what with all the lawsuits they've been engaged in, but that's not keeping them from losing sight of their goal to be the number one network entertainment and business solutions provider. As such, a reshuffle is set to take place in their corporate structure, and moving up the ranks is Kaz Hirai.
Kazuo Hirai, currently holding the role of Corporate Executive Officer and Executive Vice President, will be relinquishing these roles. Effective April 1, 2011, he will now carry the title of Representative Corporate Executive Officer and Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation, for the Consumer Products and Services Group.
This puts him in direct responsibilty for all the consumer business aspects of Sony, adding to his list of jobs the management of televisions, home video, home audio, digital imaging, PCs, and mobile products, on top of the games and network services.
