After our initial report last week, the Square Enix teaser page has gotten clearer since we last saw it. It got updated with a dragon the following day, and now a boy can be seen riding the flying beast. Check it out.

So the picture's getting bigger. Is the hint getting clearer too?

**UPDATE**

The sketch just got a new character in the teaser. A girl this time, who seems to be along for the ride, but it really doesn't get us any closer to figuring this one out just yet.

You have the wrong game. In Secret of Evermore, you got to ride around on a dragon. It's name was Flammy.

» .........

no Geno type was right, secret of evermore is a boy and his dog

Secret of mana (seiken Densetu) is the three heroes and Flammy

and I doubt a new secret of mana game, there are allready quite a few not too recent ones, this has got to be some sort of new game.................

although it could be a bahamut lagoon remake

» Umm...

A new Dragon Quest game? a follow up to blue Dragon or maybe a new IP?? WHO KNOWS.. we'll just have to wait and see.

» A girl now...

Yep... now a girl appears riding the dragon also. I don't think it's going to be Dragon Quest. I personally am hoping a brand new game and not a re-hatch of an old one. Judging though by the marketing strategy of this teaser site, it probably is an old series making a come back!

It's using SNES sounding music so it's a game they havn't made a sequel to since then. Romancing SaGa is my guess if that is the case but I'm crossing my fingers for a brand new series!

Oops, yeah. I always get Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore mixed up.

Its counting down toward July 4th, new trailer/teaser will be revealed, not as secretive as kojimas, but still pretty obscure

Flammie was from Seiken Densetsu II, aka Secret of MANA.

» I think it sounds more Gameboyish.

Leading me to believe its SaGa four. Or like you said, a new series altogether.

The Four Warriors Of Light

As regular readers of G4tv.com know, I've been breathlessly following a mysterious Square Enix countdown clock since last week. The entire nation and some parts of Canada now eagerly await my witty and terrific speculation about the possible meaning of this marketing campaign. But, fans, I'm afraid this will be my last update on that particular subject. The mystery game has been revealed.

According to Kotaku's translation of Weekly Shonen Jump, the upcoming game is The Four Warriors of Light: A Final Fantasy Anecdote. Here's a breakdown of the breath-taking details: It's for the DS. It's a turn-based RPG. The plot involves saving a princess. When you change your character's equipment, his/her appearance changes too. That's all we know, but it's pretty ground-breaking, eh...or, you know, not.

So yeah! Another spin-off Final Fantasy game! I can hardly contain my glee. Ultimately, the joke is on Square Enix because The clock is still ticking, but anyone who is even remotely interested in which game it's counting down to already knows. Ha ha!

Not only is it another FF game, it's another bloody ds rpg. RPGs on the ds are just an excuse for developers to be lazy and produce games that look like crap and don't even require the touch screen.
