PSP 3000 to have the same battery life as the PSP 2000 - Image 1

John Koller recently made a post on the Official PlayStation Blog to clarify earlier statements made about the battery life of the PSP. Apparently, earlier reports of the PSP 3000's battery life were wrong, as Koller assures us that the PSP 3000 will have the same battery life as the PSP 2000.

Here's the important part of his post for you:

IÂ’d like to make a correction and clarify that the new PSP will have equivalent battery life to the current PSP, about 4 to 6 hours for games and about 4 to 5 hours for UMD videos. While the enhanced screen of the new PSP draws a little more power, our engineers in Japan worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system including its components, so you wonÂ’t have to worry about losing any time when enjoying the more vibrant visuals displayed with the new PSP.

That's certainly some good news to note. Hopefully, Sony will have more information on this new handheld as it draws closer to release. In the meantime, keep checking QJ for updates.

all you do is argue and attack people. you have no point either. thinking the photos were fake means they thought it was a fake psp too.

"so you won’t have to worry about losing any time when enjoying the more vibrant visuals displayed with the new PSP." This is the gayest thing ive heard so far regarding the 3000. Im pretty much sure that sony is desperate to try and get sales on this one cause they knew the 3000 was a bs idea with brightning up a screen and adding a microphone. "enjoying the more vibrant visuals." What a fruit.

The sales may eclipse those of the phat and slim combined if the psp was additionally marketed as a device capable of sexual stimulation.

Someone will put their PSP on a table, and it will vibrate itself off of it -_-

plus that's horrible for the internal hardware to sustain that kind of vibration

# Vibration would actually be stupid...ptspyder 2008-09-04 07:30
Threre are three big reasons they have not yet nor will not ever be considering vibration function for any PSP modle. As Natanias mentioned, it would be WAY to hard on the internal components (the system has a lot more complex electronics then the sixaxis). The second issue is that it would rape the systems battery life, which you can see nobody is all that happy about now. And lastly, the major improvement that has gotten many people out there excited about the PSP was the weight reduction when the slim came out. Adding a vibration function would require a completely different outer shell shape to make room for the components, as well as make it quite a bit heavier. NOBODY WANTS THAT.

Nobody said the photos were fake. They said the PSP-3000 IN the photos was fake.

the photo was clearly not fake. . .

how could a photograph be fake?

that would be like holding up a square frame really still and telling someone its a picture. . .

you seem to know a lot about hardware. . . or is it just the kind that vibrates that you know about? hehehe

so. . . tell me this everybody WHY the HELL hasnt sony added a freakin ANALOG STICK and a couploe more shoulder buttons??

it wouldnt be hard!!! just slice the damn shoulder button in half longways, and file one so its stubbier and on so its shorter. . BOOYA two shoulder buttons for the price of one.

and the second analog stick. . . retardedly missing since conception.

wtf is up with that.

screw a brighter screen theres trees fraekin everywhere on this planet. . .brighter screen is a necessity if i lived on the freakin moon.

the second analog stick would be universally freakin sweet though.

what the hell is wrong with sony.
