Japanese star Ayaka to sing Why for Crisis Core |

Final Fantasy 7, many believe, is the best FF video game title ever released. And add to this the fact that Final Fantasy games always come with an excellent soundtrack. So, it's only logical for Square Enix to really and thoroughly prepare the songs that will be included in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7.Since a concrete release date has already been set in Japan, we can expect the marketing gears of Square Enix to start moving to promote the title. For the first salvo, we just learned that Japanese rock/pop star Ayaka Iida was tapped to do the theme song for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7.
The new single will be called "Why" and is somehow related to the character of Zack. "As I learned more about the story and world view, I felt that the world went beyond that of a game. I received power from Zack's way of life. I would like to deliver 'Why' along side Zack's fate to the hearts of many people," Ayaka commented.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 will be released in Japan on September 13 and we will continue to give you updates about the soundtrack and the title itself in the coming days.

Hopefully it is still in japanese when they release in the US. It is always better in its original, like 1000 words it was good, but the real emotion just suck in the english version. And, damn you sick freak have some repect 4 women too.

shes a good singer, got kind of a raspy, smoky tone to her voice. pretty versatile too, able to do pop rock stuff or just straight ballads - i prefer her ballad songs, which is probably what's going into this game anyways. i'm a bit surprised that square went with someone as popular as her... the previous choices like koda kumi, angela aki were all relatively unknown before doing the final fantasy song (exception goes to faye wong, but she sang in english anyways)

hey nothing against her or anything, but square did the same with FFX-2 with that Koudu Kumi (the music video was great... but ermn) ... the thing was- that it messed up with the characteristics of Yuna completely ( ... What happened to the 8 / 16 bit tunes that featured on the NES / SNES... FF should keep with the glorious compositions not these real-world pop milarkies!

i talk to japanese people all the time, and me being an american, some of them speak better english than i do! english is like a required course they have to take to even think about getting into university. As for their choice on a japanese singer, no effin duh moron! It's a japanese game. I've seen like 2 animes that have anything other than japanese vox. there's actually only like a couple of guy singers that suck in japan, the women are golden!
