Japan PSPs come in three new colors

And finally, you can make your dreams come true of splashing some variety on your PSP with these all new skins! If you're in Japan, that is.

We've got official word that Sony's handheld will soon be coming in three more colors to suit their clientele's varied tastes. That would be you guys. Anyway, the colors set to be released are pink, silver, and metallic blue. Now you won't have to stick to that classic black anymore. But regardless, what matters is that you've got your PSP to keep you company at any time of any given day. The colors are just a bonus.

Still, we're sure you'd want to know when they'd be out and for how much, so here goes. All three models are tagged at Â¥ 20,790 (US$ 180). But while they are priced the same, they have different release dates. The metallic blue model (PSP-1000 MB) is set to come out this December 21st, while the silver PSP (PSP-1000 SV) is coming out on December 14th, and the Pink PSP (PSP-1000 PK) will be heading your way this November 22nd.

I've always wanted a blue one. I might import one if they don't bring them to the US. If I do get a blue one though, I'll just sell my v2.82 PSP. I will never get rid of my v2.71 SE though. :)

why in the world does japan get all the sweet colors!?!?! we(ppl in USA) only get black... europe get pink and black... why dont we get nothin sweet? i have not seen any exclusive psp colors for ppl in the US even tho we buy the most of them. i dont think it is fair if they only get released in japan.

i understand that the psp doesnt do well and they give special colors as a gimmick to get more sales... but if there were colors like those in US i would have bought a new psp a looooong time ago.

hmm if i am correct... a psp is for games primarily... and to me games... are... toys. with the capacity of current memory sticks music is just a waste of space and videos definitely a waste of space.

I already knew that BUT

1st: You need to open your PSP, thus destroying your warranty.

2nd: You may end up with a broken PSP, if you don't know how to do it. (For example, I would never open my PSP myself cause I'm sure I would end up breaking it or something.)

And 3rd and most important: You can only change the faceplate and the buttons, not the back and that SUCKS.

unless its a real good one, cos the plastic thyere made of can be terrible and scratch and thats all your money gone. dont worry people, the faceplates will be up on ebay when these psp's are released, someone will strip these down and sell the parts.

I do have an Ipod, im subbing it for an xbox portable +P, but i ment when i said they look like toys, it looks like cheap plastic, and when u look at game consles u see metal or something appealing. I disagree, with the psp direction i think it's game "primarily" is on the low. The Games On PSP Is DISSAPOINTING

Just go to www.stickercutting.com - they make a lot of custom stickers and they may be able to make you an overlay!
