New Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings details - Image 1After years of absence, the new Indiana Jones game is suddenly the next big thing from LucasArts, and will even grace the cover of next month's Nintendo Power.

The studio has finally whipped out new details on the Staff of Kings after teasing us with their new trailer. The game will be released for the Wii, DS, PS2, and the PSP, and will be set in 1939 and will have Indy hunting the Staff of Moses.

The date is significant for two things: this is when World War II erupts in Europe, and this is when Indy isn't an old guy yet like in the last movie so he won't be wheezing every few steps. Good for Indy since he'll be traveling everywhere from San Fran's China town to the jungles of Panama.

The game will be puzzle-intensive as well as action-packed. The Wii version will have you handling the Wiimote as a whip and a gun, depending on the situation. It will also have four-man multiplayer. The DS version will of course make use of the stylus for control.

I can only hope that this will be a great game for the PSP! I love the idea of Indy and searching for artifacts... The lego indy for the PSP was OK and I am an old school gamer!

but the psp no longer rules (look at the sales!) and is now a dying scene. if not for homebrew it would be rotting in the ground.

but then comes the psp2! thatll be cool for... well at least a couple o months.

hmm... wonder why LA isnt making this for the 360 or PS3?

Yes, I know. thank God for the homebrew scene. I mostly play Emu's... :)

I still like the PSP. I think it would have been very popular if it weren't for Sony dropping the ball and all the easy piracy out there. :(

but the easy piracy is the main reason it got even a little popular in the first place.

...thats why i got one... lol

but yeah as soon as the ps3 came out Sony stopped putting effort into the psp
