PSP 005

One of life's greatest mystery has been solved: How to get guy's attention and keep it... even for 5 minutes or so.

As a follow up to the Tekken: Dark Resurrection PSP Bundle that was released last July in Korea, Sony has installed huge 15:1 scale models of PSPs encased in glass on bus stops, which can be found around twelve selected locations along the popular commercial district near the Han River in Seoul.

Make a mental note of these girls, do away with the long trips to the salon, ultra-micro-mini skirts or even love potions, the images that will follow will prove just how potent a PSP can be. Now witness the power of the mighty PSP.

but yeh not too surprised about the giant PSP, they're probably thinking: "how can I steal this?"

by Shizomou - 2006-08-13 11:08
» don't tell them that

Don't tell them not to wear ultra-micro-mini-skirts!

by Police - 2006-08-13 11:21
» Awesome

That's just awesome. If Sony would just combine that kind of advertising with the rumored price cut then we'd really be talking.

by T.I. - 2006-08-13 11:26

» Oh PSPupdates Sexism Once Again

When PSP Updates started, they made a sexist comment, which i pointed out and the webmaster changed it... Now, again Im pointing it hopefully the webmaster will be as quick as the 1st time.

There are several girls who own a PSP, play it on daily basis, read PSPUpdates, myself included. I dont know why the media and the gaming industry likes to propagate the idea that girls dont play, own or "hate" games... Ok.. Fighting games are boring I agree...

But hey, there are differences between "gaming" styles between people.

I so wish this could stop... I dont think its funny, relevant or anything other than pure sexism.

» Holy Smeg!!

» @10

i don't thing it's sexist...

it's just sexist because you see it as being that.

just like the white/black PSP Ad...

it not racist, it's just that americans got a hype aboutthose kinda things

by Drachenflieger - 2006-08-13 12:29
» Get a grip

@10: Now you're just being silly... if a girl gets offended by that, she's the sexist one for taking the stereotypes so seriously. The only way to truly do away with the gender thinking is by making people think about it in a more casual manner... everybody has to realize that they are not truths, just 'programmed' expectations and downright prejudice. A silly joke or two is much more constructive for changing people's minds than rabid censorship... jeez.

@14: I totally agree.

» ;)

I agree women should be treated the same as men, (though most of the time i see they are treated way better)

I also agree with #14 and 15.

I just think it's funny that the first recignizable female post is about this.

nobody will listen if you rant and rave about it though.

I would kill to get one of those big psp screens in my pad.

Why don't we get any of the fun stuff here in the states??? people are afraid of robery.......

BTW: I would still take the short skirts over the psp... no im not sexist, im a man.... deal with it.

by Ashley - 2006-08-13 13:01
» lol

of corse, i'd like some handsome guy over a PSP :)

and they don't do this over here because of robbery, and another reasons...

face it, USA as we know it is going down. Fast.

looks like Europe/China are gonna be the "new USA", but more organised.

by Shizomou - 2006-08-13 14:03
» girls like fighting games

I have plenty of girl friends that like fighting games.

by Drachenflieger - 2006-08-13 14:23
» I second that

In fact, MOST gaming girls I know at least occasionally play fighting games... at least the ones with good multiplayer modes. :) Some of the girls are damn good at it too xD Girls DO play all kinds of games... the only general difference I've noticed (from my point of view) is that female gamers often tend to be more social than the male ones... and thus more fun to invite for gaming parties

by fo0mX - 2006-08-13 15:20
» errr...

fighting games are not boring...they promote competition and mastery. there's a reason why national and global fighting game tournaments that are held. btw, one of the biggest reasons why there's a tekken bundle in Korea is because Tekken is the holy grail for fighting enthusiasts...and koreans also own the rest of the world when it comes down to the actual tournaments.

lol, stee said "japanise" when it was supposed to be "korean". READ

by commyostrich - 2006-08-13 20:47
» real?

ok but the thing is...are these actually psps? Or just mock ups that have an lcd playing a video. it seems strange that they would make real psps in the glass. although if true...that is freakin sweet.

» ***** Please

Oh please, whoever wrote comment number 10 is an oversensitive whinger.

First of all nowhere does it say women don't play games, they made a bloody joke about how all the guys were stopping to look. Please point out which part is possibly sexist towards women.

I can't stand people like you who go oh look at me I have breasts therefore I must be outspoken. This article is a joke about the photos featuring men stopping and staring at the ads.

In no way does it go oh look only men play games it's pointing out the large throngs of men staring at the tekken ads.

Yes girls play fighting games but to be frank no one gives a flying *****, It's not about grrl gamers it's a joke about men and if anyone should complain about the possible sexism in this article it's men. Note we don't give a *****.
