Dante's Inferno - Image 1

Zing! A new PSP game to look forward to: Dante's Inferno. Originally announced only for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, Electronic Arts has just revealed via press release that their GoW-like action title is also being developed for Sony's handheld. Question is... will it be a spinoff? The short answer is no.

If you wanted a slightly longer answer, Dante's Inferno exec producer and creative director Jonathan Knight promises that:

PSP owners can expect to get the same level of fast, responsive gameplay through all nine detailed and unique circles of hell we are aiming to achieve on the consoles.

The PSP version is being done by the EA Redwood Shores studio and Artificial Mind and Movement. And yes, the PSP version will be getting a simultaneous release in 2010 alongside its console brethren.

...

Don't know much about this game but if it's anywhere near as good on the handheld as God of War then I'll be interested in giving it a go.

Yeah!

Let's just hope they don't DRM it like they did with SPORE. :)
