Hall Map For Tokyo Game Show 2006 |
Ó
With all the excitement that has been brewing up as the Tokyo Game Show draws nearer, the organizers have decided to release a map which shows the general floor layout of the event. Fans who will be lucky enough to go there will know exactly where to look for that Square Enix booth (and hopefully find that Aeris cosplayer). As the map shows, there will be eight entrances to the event area. Restrooms, the food court, the information counter, the medical emergency corner (for those who are bound to swoon over the new games) and the lost and found corner are indicated. Also, the main hall will be dominated by Sony, Square Enix, Capcom, Namco Bandai, Konami, KDDI Corporation, Sega and mobile service provider NTT DoCoMo.
Another thing to note is that sections have been set aside for game schools such as the Digital Entertainment Academy Corporation, the International Art and Design College, Yokohama Digital Arts and The Institute of Yoyogi Animation. People who are thinking of studying in order to get into the game industry would probably find it a good idea to drop by that area. A section for development tools and middleware has also been allocated, where workshop space has even been provided.
A separate area has also been designated for shopping, and there will also be an area for children, as well as a video games museum.
For those who can't go to Tokyo just yet, we can imagine just how fun that may be. And for the lucky ones who will be flying to Japan by the end of the week, then go forth and take these maps with our blessings. All we ask is that you remember to bring your digicam and several extra memory cards.

Soo many things to see only 1000's of Km's to travel to see it. :)
I'll be there. Only 1000 yen for a ticket, too.
I forgot this was coming up. Thanks for the reminder. I'll be there. Only 5 pounds to get in. Bargain.
We envy you!!! hehe.. we'd love to see any interesting pics you might take while you're there.
Have fun! ^_^
I hope no xbox fan go there. they might get beat with one. nobody like xbox over there.
There is no nintendo booth !!!
Remember, Nintendo doesn't want people t see the Wii as competition to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Nintenndo is very fond of holding their info to the last second.
Microsoft of Japan will be there in force. They actually have an area. I figured Sony will have a massive display and lots of booths while Micro$oft will have just a table all the way in the back with one Xbox 360 on it displaying some American game the Japanese don't even care about.
finally i can here info about other systems. im tired of the xbox360 and i never owned one. now i can peak into japan and see more interesting things.
The TGS was the coolest event I have been to in a while. I took some video of the show. You can set it on my blog:
