Well, blame the E3 week. News is coming in thick and fast! We've just received the official Press Release for GTA: Vice City Stories.
Rockstar Games, is proud to announce Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with series creators Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will be available exclusively on the PSP system in North America on October 17th, 2006 and Europe on October 20th, 2006.
"The success of Liberty City Stories on the PSP system was nothing short of spectacular," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games and Executive Producer. "The incredible PSP system technology allowed us to do things we never thought possible on a handheld system and we are excited to once again give our audience a fresh experience in one of their favorite locales in the Grand Theft Auto series, Vice City. just cuz its another GTA game, doesnt mean its gonna have the same exploit. The game is entirely different code. Its probably not gonna have any kind of exploit in it, possible, but has nothing to do with the code form LCS.
Ill buy this, but I wish we coudl get a BRAND NEW city for our PSPs instead of these rehashes, but I liked Vice City, Miami is my home town! VCS will probably be very good

was GTA LCS not fun b4 the cheat device came out? no, it was still fun, the cheat device just made it better.
Oh and hopefully theyll put in the custom tracks option again, but MAKE IT PLAY MP3s FROM THE MUSIC FOLDER INSTEAD OF THOSE GAY CONVERTED FILES!!

Well I asked a worker of rockstar north about it ( I knew him from E3 ) and he said to me personally that there will not be another exploit and that sony made it clear but he told me to expect something "controversial" , he cannot assure me 100% that something "controversial" will be in the game but he said they are thinking of sneaking something in to get publicity for the game.
This above is no true so rockstar cannot sue me for revealing any game information , everyone take this as an opinion.

If Edison Carter didn't make CheatDevice for LCS, my UMD would've been ebay's months ago. Also, it gave homebrew a lot of extra life with the exploit.

also heard something about rockstar always implented a way to load something

Many times I have been the first to email Pspupdates with new information and I noticed that I was never the one given credit but surprisingly oh so surprisingly credit was always given to someone they knew. Now I no longer bother letting them know of any information because they don't deserve it. At least other sites give credit where it is due instead of being bias. Maybe that is why they are late with news when compared to many other sites.

Sorry to disappoint but the exploit was in the psp firmware and not the game. If it was the game, 2.7 would have homebrew.

I wonder what year this story will take place? I'm hoping its somewhat present, after 2000. Get some real South Beach environment. Tommy Vercetti's story took place before South Beach got really popular.
I see a few people ask about this. I always assumed that "vice city" was a play on Miami Vice which took place in the 80's. Why would this "vice" game take place in a different time?

the only reason Rockstar succeded in this was because its the only GTA game 4 the PSP. I would much prefere buying San An. 4 the PSP or PS2 than LCS.

gta vc was my favo game ever for the ps2, if they can even come close to making vcs as good as the original ps2 version then this will be the best handheld game EVER
this really sucks i spent $100 on 2 copies of gta liberty city stories to play with my little brother and now the same for vice city, Hell naw
i own gta 3, vice , san an , liberty stories and i felt really cheated for $50 buying a game i already own on the ps2 they should do something where if you send them all the game covers from 3 to now in a letter they give you a $150 rebate for being soo phucking loyal to them
their getting greedy and im looking forward to the next gta after 4 cause since its gonna come out on the ps3 and x360 its probrably gonna be stripped down to a chitty city all small to fit on a 9 gig disk and worse graphics cause the x60 has less than half as powerful hardware

I was really excited to see another gta game coming to psp untill i realized that most probably it will come with a firmware update.... Sony knows how high demand will be for this game, and im pretty sure that we'll have to update at least to firmware 2.7 to play it... Ill think twice about putting this game in my psp if I have to update my firmware and lose homebrew capability...gta vcs or tons of homebrew... its gonna be a tuff decision

i really think this game is gonna be hot but i think they really otta let you fly planes and helicopters. in liberty city stories for my psp, it was a good game but i think it was too short. in vice city stories they need to put some of the features san andreas had. they need to add helicopters flying cars parashoots, jetpacks, and other stuff. they also need to make the area a little bigger with highways or something. im gonna look forward to this new Gta for psp. for all the people with updates below 2.7, number 74 may be right. one
