Let's see what we have here. LocoRoco 2 out on UMD, so is NFS Undercover, Mytran Wars... hmm... wait! What's this! GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Vice City Stories out in PlayStation Store?!?! NOW???

GTA PSP on PSN - Image 1

Yep, there it is. Clear as day. The PSP GTA titles have crossed the border into the PSN. At least that's what an email from SCEE says. There weren't any other details pertaining to this PSN release, nor did it hold any info on a US PS Store update, but we'll be on a lookout for this.

Do make sure to come back here at QJ for more!

Nice but

what I want to see is a Vice City and III "mod" type such as MTA.. MTA VC was the best online game. If they allowed you to use a mouse and keyboard and simply opened up Vice City as a giant death match (the ENTIRE city), it would be great. I spent months playing MTA!!
by WiiRolled - 2009-02-12 01:34:14
yeah

MTA was a hell of a fun! I spent hours sitting in front of my PC and laughing my ass off

The bottom picture is from the original 'Vice City.' Did this come straight from Sony?

I could never get MTA to work properly, and that really pissed me off!

???

They might be coming to PSN but will they be playable on the PS3? As I already have them both on UMD and ISO There is no reason to get them again.

Doubtful. If that were the case then all PSP games would be playable on PS3. Which would be great but don't see it happening anytime soon. Anyways yeah I already own both of these on UMD but it's nice to see them up for those who don't.

Stupid of sony...

to not let PSP games run on PS3....I'm not sure why they care if you are buying it for play on your PSP or PS3....as long as you are buying it. We all know PS3 can do a PSP emu.....and i'd be more inclined to buy them if I could play them on my TV and if I wanted transfer to my PSP to take on the road.....but I do most of my gaming in the living room.

...

how is that stupid of Sony? If they made psp games playable on the ps3 there would be absolutely no reason to buy a psp except for the fact that it's portable. I would like the idea of playing psp game on my ps3 just as much as anyone else but from a business standpoint it's not stupid at all.

the psp slim

can output video unto any monitor or tv that accepts component signals. for better big screen playing, i use a component to vga transcoder and a big old crt pc monitor so i can adjust the size (stretch the small picture)

I'm Pissed!

I was playing around with my GTA: LCS UMD 2 weeks ago just to see if it was still fun. I had a cheat page up looking for my favorites to mess around in the game with. I put on the pedestrians riot cheat and pedestrian outfit (army man). Like most times i use the ped. outfit cheat my character got stuck in a glitch that allows you to move straight-forward only and i couldn't use weapons. The rioters were trying to kill me and i was facing a wall at the time so i couldn't escape. I button-mashed to try to save my life and avoid having to re-do ammo cheats if I died. during my panic my camera view was changed to directly behind me. I could see a woman with a gun following me but she wasn't trying to kill me...she ran when i run, stopped when i stopped. I had recruited her! I was still pissed that i didn't know how I did it but just when I started thinking about the positives of it being possible a rioter killed her then I had to commit suicide to escape the glitch! If anyone else knows how to do it please say something!!!!

"How is that stupid of Sony?"

I agree to a point but mostly disagree that it'd be foolish to have PSP games play on PS3. Yes, if Chains of Olympus were playable on PS3 then many would not buy a PSP to play it. On the other hand, if I could take Peggle or PixelJunk Eden with me anywhere I went, I'd be more inclined to buy those than I am now. One game for two platforms, I'd buy more games. Sony could also pad out its portfolio of game sales, counting games twice (and with PSP game sales dropping, that'd help.) Meanwhile, the hardware tends to sell itself, PSP's doing well right now despite no games being sold. All in all, I think it could still make fiscal sense to do this.

@WiiRolled

Haha I used to pull all nighters and have a friend or two over and get a 24 person game going where people would try to fight for the helicopter!

..

What?
by - 2009-02-12 17:02:13

it was from an SCEE email.

xD

I corrupted my save playing around with nitePR in GTA:LCS, lol...
by Binary - 2009-02-12 20:03:49
WTF

Why did that put a regular vice city screen shot on a Vice City Stories title?

I know, I was kind of hoping that the original was coming to PSP too.
by squintin - 2009-02-13 06:30:24

Graphics?

How are the graphics in this game? I am thinking about buying it. ps3ispoop, http://sites.google.com/site/sonyhatesyou

Graphics?

Graphics are very important to a game. They have a great impact on the controls and plot, and they also are very pretty to look at. Oh, wait -- 360 exclusives are coming over to the Playstation 3 one by one. Graphics never made a game great. GTAIII's graphics were poor and it was a landmark game. Your website is so bad, ps3ispoop, that under External, that "Forums" is misspelled. And it's been that way for at LEAST three days, so either you don't believe in spell check or you don't pay attention to your site but EITHER WAY your credibility sucks.
