Our last update for BigBig Studios' Extreme Justice covered some ideas lead designer Chris White wanted to put in. If you're a fan of the original you'll be happy to hear that many of the major changes to the game specifically addressed input from gamers.

Because the developers were expecting gamers to play the game for just short periods at a time they made the missions short and didn't see the need for a decent storyline. The were so affected to find out that gamers actually sat down to play the game for long periods that they made the game feel more like a game on its own rather than a sequel.

This time around the game will feature a Story Mode, a Bounty Mode where the player has to beat levels, each tougher than the next, and Challenge mode for small missions. The Multiplayer function will have four modes. The developers also addressed the concerns of some players who found the game too challenging by putting three modes of difficulty: casual, experienced and hardcore.

The developers of course didn't take it for granted that gamers loved the Hollywood Blockbuster effect the game delivered. Expect to feel that adrenaline rush with "24 new weapons, including flame-throwers, heavy assault rifles and rocket launchers ... 54 driveable new vehicles - including hovercraft and jet skis - and 12 vehicles that the player jumps and fights on." Best of all, while the original game had only 30 missions, the sequel's engine was designed to be fully alterable with each download to add to the game.

The game will be out later this year for the PSP and the PS2.
