In case you haven't gotten your copy of Gran Turismo for the PSP just yet, you might want to have a look at this - it's a list of all the cars in the game, numbering at a heavy 830. Is your dream ride in the game? Now there's an easy way to find out.

The list, as I've said, is quite long, so I can't post that insanity here. What I will tell you is that the list includes pretty much covers most of the old and new favorites in racing games, plus two each from Ferrari and Lamborghini.

If you want to scan the entire list, then head over to the source and ready that Ctrl+F.

» very great graphic and impressive menu.

I just got it off the psn and i have to say the graphic is really good and the menu were quite impressive. i wish game devs would start putting more efforts like they did with this game.

» Not good enough

It is a good game but just doesn't feel like a proper Gran Turismo because it's just missing too much, it might have 830 cars but it's all the extra's that make the console versions so good, maybe it'll open up more as i play and i know it's only a portable game but so far it's 4 years of excited anticipation slightly wasted.

by kupomogli - 2009-10-02 12:42
» Except GT Portable wasn't being made for 4 years.

Polyphony Digital specifically said previously that they weren't going to even start GT Portable until GT5 was completely finished. This was only a year and a half ago at most. Even QJ.net posted the news.

So really. Who knows how long they were working on it? I don't think they were even working on it a full year.

» 830 cars....

Amazing that it has 830 cars but...... No Simulation Mode WTF is with that.

From playing this game on my friend's PSP I can say you'll get bored easily after 1-2 days of it.

by Vlad-the-wrecker - 2009-10-02 12:47
» Awesome!

I cant wait for this game. Should be the best PSP racer

Oh and erique555 smells. And im his dad.

by Vlad-the-wrecker - 2009-10-02 12:49
» Thats what a trainers for :)

Unlock all the cars and money and just max all the cars out!

by Vlad-the-wrecker - 2009-10-02 12:50
» Wow.

Just be grateful theres a portable gran turismo!

by symbal - 2009-10-02 12:51
» Well

It was announced may 2004 and supposed to be ready april 2005 and based around GT4, but they put so much time into GT5 that the Psp version was basicaly no more than an after hours project.

by bsanehi - 2009-10-02 13:35
» OMFG!!!!!!

the graphics on this game sucks in game and even need for speed shift has better graphics then this wtf!!! i got the game and i hate it , i would give it a 3 out of 10

by Foolmonkey - 2009-10-02 13:43
» ...

There were pics and trailers of GT for PSP at the launch of the 1000. It was in fact in production when the PSP first came out.

by vizard00 - 2009-10-02 14:13
» wtfu

no simulation is weired

by Mirmo - 2009-10-02 14:28
» @Vlad-the-wrecker

Have you actually played the game yet?

All you can do is unlock cars and get money. You can't upgrade cars, there's no simulation mode and you race only with 3 other cars which isn't exciting. To Tell the truth I'd rather play GT 2 using pops than this game.

by symbal - 2009-10-02 14:56
» Yeah

I play GT2 a lot on Psp and i'm gonna give the new version my best shot and hope i like it, but apart from better graphics and slightly better car physics GT2 is much better and will continue to play.

by Vlad-the-wrecker - 2009-10-02 15:09
» I agree.

PSP Gt sucks.

by jgr9 - 2009-10-02 15:20
» ?

What do you guys mean "no simulation mode"? Did you guys even look through the vehicle settings?

You can choose between Professional and Standard driving physics, change or turn off Active Steering, change or turn off TCS and ASM, change your front and rear tires and choose between automatic or manual transmission.

by Demonsweat - 2009-10-02 15:32
» Fail

No Batmobile.

by symbal - 2009-10-02 15:35
» Simulation Mode

Those are just basic settings even arcade racers have, try the simulation mode on the console Gran Turismo's and you got thousands of little tweaks like boost pressure, wheel cambre and endless aero tweaks, and you can completely change your car to exactly how you want, this Psp version is just too arcadey for me.

by symbal - 2009-10-02 15:48
» Yeah

But it's got a Delorian.. Let's hope it has a 88mph cheat.

by Vlad-the-wrecker - 2009-10-02 16:52
» hahaha symbal

awesome!

by psp2 - 2009-10-02 17:06
» This game has been in production for about 3 weeks

Im just joking but seriously, motor storm artic edge got online play but this game couldnt. Wheres the love, wheres the competition. Just because of that i might not even get a copy of this whether its legally or illegally. I definitely want to see those crispy graphics no doubt.

by symbal - 2009-10-02 18:25
» More

They could have added a lot more to the game, because look at the file size it's less than 1gb.. They could have added an extra 500mb to fill up a umd and gave us extra modes and tracks etc. instead it's just a fairly good arcade racer but without any extras like crash replays or pickups, to me this puts a bit of a blemish on the Gran Turismo name.

by holden77 - 2009-10-02 18:31
» meh

Good but not 5 years worth of development good.

Looks no better than Ridge Racer in terms of graphics.

Races no better than TOCA.

The only thing that keeps me coming back is time trial on the Nordschlief

by yourmistakes - 2009-10-02 20:00
» thats not entirely true, vlad

we both have a 1 in, oh i dunno 35 chance of being erique555's dad.

by yourmistakes - 2009-10-02 20:02
» The real fail

is the fact the Delorean doesn't come with a flux capacitor, forcing us to use cheats. :)

by southsidexz - 2009-10-02 22:42
» Whattt!!!! NO SCION TC!!!!

What!!! they got the Scion xB and the xA but no TC??? What!!! thats messed up......Now I know one of my favorite cars isnt there...... List might be big......but still no TC....... :/ sucks.... lolz

by Aces In The Palm - 2009-10-03 00:48
» lol

thats why they dont encourage masterbating into the abortion clinics waste bins

by Aces In The Palm - 2009-10-03 00:54
» oh really, less than 1GB you say. you obviously never bought the game

because my dumped iso is 1.09 GB (1,177,024,512 bytes) uncopressed

which means your using the leaked 900MB version.

argh, shiver my timbers

by RJ - 2009-10-03 03:26

Wow. That has my fairly obscure dream car! A Triumph Spitfire 1500. But... The game isn't that good? I've been holding off GT2 PSX for a long time because I was hoping this would be better. Guess I'll have to start on that.

by Aces In The Palm - 2009-10-03 03:39
» look

the game is good.

but they lwft out some things that really should of been there, such as tuning and career mode.

there are license test, but the tracks arent locked by license you hold.

its a gutted version of gran turismo, still very good. but crippled at the same time.

and very slow loading times unless you do the 15 minute install option. so make sure your memstick has some free space.

by deltasrage - 2009-10-03 04:00
» simulation was what made GT to me

I've played them all. And my fave part was earning that money to buy your next piece of performance parts. Not in packs like some of the other racers. I felt like you really had to earn your wins not just hit the gas peddle and make the turns. Come on guys why you leave out the one thing that made GT a true sim. arcade is fun dont get me wrong and the cars that ive been waiting for to be in GT like the lambos is freekin sweet. but i want to be able to put some new parts in it. turbos port and polish balanced pistons. why oh why did ya leave out the bread and butter. :( ...goes and plays GT2...

by Aces In The Palm - 2009-10-03 07:34
» lol

i kinda figured that one would get voted down.

but since i got my special edition (it was same price as regular version and you get a bugatti veyron that does almost 400kph) i have been playing it quite a bit, and think it is a good game.

i would of liked a career mode and tuning abilities, if PD are smart it will be coming soon as DLC.

wonder what happened to tahiti road?

havent seen that track since GT2, and it was a good little track.

by KingPepper - 2009-10-03 17:44
» Sadly i have to agree with Mirmo...........

This is the first Gran Turismo that i honestly hate, as the games before were fun to play, but this seems to be a rush job to me, as there's nothing to do, apart from Single Player racing against 3 other cars(Boring as F**K), don't get me wrong, the game looks brilliant + sounds brilliant, but as soon as you get past that point, you relies that is it, just single player racing, of which you have to win the same race 4 times in a row to beat that track and gain a "A" using that track, problem is whatever car you choose, no matter how good or bad, the opponent cars always drive the same model of car as you, so if you make 1 mistake in the race, and there is no way to catch them up, because of them driving the same car, how stupid is that, drifting is only trying to beat your last score on each drifting track, in fact i found that the best mode in the game, the challenges are just the driving tests under a new name and no multiplayer infrastructure mode sucks as well.

So i agree totally, as i am bored of this game already, now where did i put GT2 using POP's.

So thanks go out to Yoshihiro for allowing us to try this out before i made a big mistake buying it.

by KingPepper - 2009-10-03 17:54
» What we mean is..............

Where are the racing events gone you know Sunday Club racing ETC ETC, which you took part and completed showing a gold cup if you were lucky, then you go on to the next event, so a career mode in a way is what we were expecting, if this game had this then yes, it would have been brilliant, but without it, its nothing to write home about.

It wouldn't surprise me if the career mode will be a addon as DLC, to try and get more money out of people.

by KingPepper - 2009-10-03 17:58
» Even so he still has a point there...........

that means there 591Mb of free space on the UMD, shame on them, and what a shame for us, the GT fans, they had plenty of room to put a career mode in.

by yaoitaru - 2009-10-05 02:50
» you guys still buy PSP games?

game works great on 5.50 GEN B2 Full with game decryptor for eboot.bin

by Aces In The Palm - 2009-10-05 03:01
» what???

YES we still buy PSP games.

the people who DONT are ruining the homebrew community.

by deathmetal - 2009-10-12 16:58
» *****a, please.

How was it announced May 2004 if the first PSP model's launch date was March 24, 2005?
