All set to conquer the PSP anew, but this time, with a new visual style and an all new system.

Yes folks, if you love the first two installments of Namco Bandai's Monster Hunter-esque game, (if you live in Japan that is, as we only received the enhanced version, which certainly not a bad thing), get ready for a whole new adventure as this week’s Famitsu reports, via Andriasang, that God Eater 2 is in development for the PSP.

Though details are a bit scarce at the moment, some leaked info suggests that the game will take place three years after the original. It will feature new weapons like a Boost Hammer and Charge Spear, new characters, and some new badass Aragami creatures. What's surprising about the info though is the mention that the sequel will have a different visual style from the original, which apparently looks similar to the style used in Final Fantasy Type-0. It will also feature an all new “Engagement System,” though no other details on how will in incorporate in the game yet.

God Eater 2 is slated for release in 2012. Hopefully, well have a more concrete info about the game at this weekends TGS event.
