Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has something good in store for Sony PlayStation Portable fans, as the recently finalized Go! Messenger service is now available. To download, just hit its icon under the Network menu.Akin to the Skype service on PSP, Go! Messenger is SCEE's alternative service which offers free video, voice and instant messaging communication features. Through 2,500 BT Openzone hotspots, European PSP units can now connect and be used to communicate with ease.
It appears that the service will remain exclusive to the European region, so you can hook up and chat with friends if you're in that part of the world. Using the Go! Cam video camera, it is possible to make video calls. Voice chat requires a headset, while an intuitive on-screen keyboard makes sending instant messages an easy task.

i get the following message :
"Not found

Could it be the service detects i'm on a CF and therefor blocks me?? Strange...
I don't think it detects your CFW, I think it's just that the server might getting overloaded with the amount of people trying to register.

Heah maybe then it detects your IP, and your ISP to filter you out of the service, if you are from non-PAL regions. Since the last sentence of the message did say "or the server has been instructed not let you have it.". But i am sure that the server is down right now, since it got overwhelmed since midnight. They might be planning to make a come back, and will have Mirror Servers in place for the messenger service.
Just hopped on a proxy and guess what? i was signed up in less than 2 minutes...
So to sign go through a proxy using your computer and go here:

Eveytime they anounce something bi is gonna be comming it gets delayed a few times to many. And when it does arrive... Well...
It's been 4 hours since I completed my registration, yet the only confirmation mail I've received up to now is the one from bt.com.
But the playstation mail is yet to arrive...
Waiting time can be up to 20 mins it said... whatever.
How could they not have foreseen millions of people were gonna download this. They should have set up enough resources before they launched this.

what botton configuration do i have to execute to get to the recovery menu on the PSP.....plus i already have the go messenger on my computer downloaded and i wanna know what things in the rar file do i put on the memory stick...i live in Argentina maybe that helps
yea really u can just install it if u have M33's fw
just power off psp and switch on holding 'R' button, then change the region to europe.
then just put the APP folder from the .rar into the PSP folder.

Ok, I filled out all the info on the site and it shows my username to log in. But when I go to my account it says I'm not registered. I haven't received a confirmation email yet maybe that's the problem? I downloaded the software on my psp via the cfw. Is there still a long waiting time to get registered?

no theres not a waiting time. its just that the server s real busy. like with me i was able to sign on this morning, but now its saying "account verification failed". so im assuming its the server thats really busy cause sometimes i can get on and sometimes i cant
does anyones psp hang sometimes at the start up of go!messenger at the screen saying "saving to memory stick duo". this window pops up after it tells you that you have messages.

I plugged my memory card into a different psp and set it up, works perfectly there, when i plugged it in to my other one when i start it it says "a profile already exists on the memory card, continueing may erase it"
and then i continue and type in my password and it says its wrong :/

Yes you do need 3.90 official firmware and have to live in europe to enjoy GO!messenger on fat or slim.
OR you can use 3.90 M33 firmware from anywhere in the world if you fake the region to europe in the recovery menu.

It is possible to make Go! Messenger works on FW versions below 3.90, if you hex edit the EBOOT.PBP and change the 3.90 (that is found near the top of the file) to 1.00, and copy it to \PSP\GAME\Go!Me ssenger\EBOOT.PBP. It also requires to have the \PSP\APP\ULES00 856\DATA.DRM (in that path)

install go! messenger(even if its from europe)
turn off psp completely, turn it on pressing R trigger button.
Go to configuration and change Fake region->Europe
Exit and boot up go!messenger
