WTF does this have to do with the Wii?
Seriously guys, if it 'aint Wii I 'aint interested.
There's always people going on about Linux and how it's this and that and how Windows is this and that, but in the end, it's about delivering for the users, and Windows does this far better than Linux. By users, I mean ALL the people who use a PC, both beginners and experts, from those who simply want to edit a document or send an email, or those who want to setup a server, to hardcore gamers who want the best their PCs can offer for games. Linux just isn't good in ALL these areas, but Windows is. Yes Linux is better in certain areas and therefore has it's strengths, but it's not friendly enough or diverse enough for the mass market, and therefore is still an OS for those who know enough about PCs to make the switch themselves.
"no more Windows crap freezez and crashes....and wasting 400$ worth of your money"
If you're competent enough to deal with Linux, then you *should* be competent enough to prevent crashes in Windows. Hence I rarely have a crash in Windows unless it's a hardware problem (most recently my power supply). I use all the tools available to keep my PC in great working order, however many people do not bother, and therefore it's no surprise that things go wrong for such users.
"once you start using it,you,l never go back"
I tried it, and it's not worth making a switch for, but it's good if you have specific uses in mind, such as setting up a web server for example.
For the average user at home, Linux is just not a good alternative to Windows. However, for the more experienced PC user, Linux can be a great choice for specific tasks.
Big Purn Its On wii.qj.net Coz QJ Put It There, Moan At Them Not Me, I Mean Bill Gates
