You can now pre-order your PSP Go in GameStop, in case you guys aren't aware yet. The pre-order opened today and they are offering it for PSP Go in the colors Black and Pearl White.

If you pre-order now, then you'll get it by October 1st. Do note though that the pre-order requires a deposit of US$ 50. The PSP Go is being offered at retail for US$ 249.99.

Thanks to Mario for the tip!

For a preorder, this is a major ripoff. It should be no more than the usual $5.

Pre Orders have been available for the Go! since June from Walmart. I posted this on my half ass 'ed blog on June 8th.

that is the single most disgusting looking handheld ever! I'll laugh when the springs that control the slider break and the thing won't stay open

# Seems like you've never preordered a system.kupomogli 2009-08-14 16:03
Both Gamestop and EB Games before they ever merged required a $50 deposit. I assume it's safe to say that almost all major retail outlets require a $50 deposit.

The reason for this is that they want to make sure that you are going to come and get it. You expect Gamestop to hold the console over a week for you and you put hardly anything down on it? Sure. $5 for a game because they're only 60, but a console is worth more and without selling that console, they're losing out on that money and the potential profits of the customer who bought that console as they may come back and purchase other games in the near future.

So yeah.

What's up with GameStop getting everything? They're starting to sound like a monopoly. All the game companies seem to give GameStop customers all kinds of bonuses when they buy a game there. Why is this?
