i miss it when it was just techtv, i figured that with the merger they would keep what good on both channels go with it. but no the only show left is xplay. and little buy little took apart thescreensavers , and then made into attack of the show, i think that the minds behind this channel need to take there heads out there ass!

LOL wow that last sentence! the Note to G4 is exactly what I would of said. They're turing into another crap station.

i dont kno whats wrong with you guys, but G4 is great. MOrgan Webb is great, so is Kristin Holt.

I like Attack of the Show. That, Cinematech, Icons, and Star Trek: TNG (yeah, I know it's out of place) are basically all that I watch on G4.

there shouldnt be a channel soley on games, there isnt enough news for a whole channel based on it, thats why g4 has so many reruns. they should have merged techtv instead of pushing them out, i watched every show they had on tech tv (almost), now i only watch icons. even xplay has gotten insanly stupid. i think that someone should beat down the owner(s) of g4 and take away there rights to air what they want. i dont give that channel 2 years if they dont make drastic changes!

I have a bit of a biased opinion...when G4 first came out there were not so great, but it was nice someone was attempting to put together a station for gamers like us.



Like many of you i loved TechTV, and i thought it was going to be the best thing that ever happened to g4, and it was, for a while. What many do not understand is how touchy the gamer demographic can be and how hard it is to cater a tv station to that audience...so rather than being inovative G4's former CEO left, they got a new CEO who apparetly wants to take the channel in a new direction and change the demographic to a more secure audience, the typical male 14-28 or whatever it is...and have lost a lot of gamer viewers.



I still watch G4. I enjoy AOTS most of the time, i do watch Star Trek TNG and now the original Star Trek (in fact this is the only station you can watch TOS on...) on the network, and love their E3 coverage...so the station does have some redeeming values...



Perhaps what I find most interesting is the bias contained in the above artical, i love thses forums very much and respect a lot of what they say, but not this time. The above article is obviously completely one sided. And while many agree they dislike G4's network decisions, they will certainly take the time to flag the ntetwork...so obviously G4 has had some impact on you if you feel so compelled to make a comment (positive or negative).



Lets not knock the only station out there that is even attempting to cater to us gamers. Would you really rather watch Spike than G4?

I know you made those comments in your article Rushan S. because you were frustrated with G4's recent programing decisions and not-so-new found station direction. I share your frustration and am sure we are not the only two people that feel this way. As journalists though (you perhaps more signifigant than I), we need to remain objective when reporting news and leave our opionons for editorials....and my fault lays with getting a bit too defensive on G4's behalf...trying too hard to express a relevant inteligent opinion rather than "Go to hell G4" or "G4 sucks..." I just wish we would see more thought out, inteligent commentary rather than complaints and rambles that reduces the interest of comments/forums to zero, and lowers others expectations of what a great site and user base like qj.net is capable of containing.
