Free Monster Hunter Freedom Unite demo UMD at GameStop |
Ó

If for some reason you're not able to download the demo of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite off of the PlayStation Network, you might want to stop by your local GameStop. They're giving away UMD versions of it.
Aside from being free, another good thing about it is that it will also allow you to play with others who have the downloadable version. The amount is limited, though, so if you really want one you better hustle. It would make for a nice collectible too.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will launch next week, June 23.

dam you lie to me i went to gamestop right now and they said i have to reserve it for $5 i live in usa state Rhode Island
I also drove to a Game Stop. They are NOT giving away demos without pre-ordering the full version. Repeat, Game Stop is NOT GIVING AWAY DEMOS.
I asked the manager to double check. She called her regional manager. Her regional manager told her they only gave demos away with pre-orders, they never give away demos without pre-ordering the game. Repeat, Game Stop NEVER GIVES AWAY DEMOS WITHOUT PRE-ORDERING THE GAME.
LOL you only have to pay the $5 if you want to reserve the ACTUAL game.... LOL your supposed to ask for the demo if you want the umd demo... geez ur dumb
"hi i want the monster hunter umd please" "umm $5 please"
"no, i meant the demo"
"well why didnt you say so you dumb *****!"
both capcom and gamestop did not say anything about having a pre-requisite of pre-order before you can get the free UMD demo. they did say that offer's good only until supplies last.

Sorry to have been so annoyed with QJ. The problem apparently lies with Game Stop.
I have been on the phone trying to get a straight answer from Game Stop and I was told that it doesn't matter what the website says, that their stores are not giving out demos without pre-orders.
After speaking with Game Stop's corporate help center, I was told that it is not their policy to give away demos without a pre-order.
However, the phone rep looked up the webpage and acknowledged that it did not mention an order was necessary. He took my info and promised there would be a follow up.
Regardless, don't waste your time and gas money trying to get the free game without a pre-order.
yup because i walked 2 miles with my bro and they told me nope you need pre order it witch is $5 and i was like wow and had to walk back 2 miles for nothing not cool.
of course if u lived by my gamestop i wouldve just gave you one.... if u preordered it... lol jk. but seriously wouldve given u one. we have like 10 and only 2 people preordered it and one was my best friend... it broke my heart... lol
its free... i mean the preorder goes TOWARD the game so when u pick it up its 24.99 people need to stop being stingy. if u decide to not want buy the game. cancel ur preorder and keep the demo... tho ull have a pissed off game advisor for giving a -1 preorder on his daily numbers lol
Requiring an exchange of money to receive something that was advertised as "free while supplies last" is bait and switch. Bait and switch is considered fraud and is illegal in every US state.
Since I contacted Game Stop Corporate yesterday, they still have not changed their website. No measures have been taken to publicly correct their advertising/press errors. No signs have been placed in store windows to warn customers that the advertised free game requires a pre-order deposit of $5. That demonstrates the entire thing was a willing attempt to defraud customers.
i was to lazy to drive to gamestop, luckily this time it paid off lol
I went to the Gamestop web site and printed out all related to the demo. When I went to get my free copy, the guy told me that I need to buy something for the PSP, he said it must be for the PSP, but didn't mention about reserving the full game. I calmly pulled out what I printed and told him that in the description does not mention anything about buying something for the PSP, he read it and he game me the free demo.
