Florida bar official demands Jack Thompson to take psych test and suspension |

It seems Jack Thompson is in hot water yet again, and this time it could be serious. A Florida Bar official wants the lawyer to submit himself to a psychological exam, and to also take a 91-day suspension of his law license. And before you ask, this is coming straight from the horse's mouth - well, from an e-mail the attorney sent, anyway.
This isn't the first time Jack Thompson came under fire from the Bar. If one remembers, he's actually tied up in a few federal lawsuit against the Florida Bar, with the latter moving to hold a disciplinary meeting with the lawyer. This is in response to the many complaints regarding Jack's professional conduct during the controversial events revolving around the controversial titles Grand Theft Auto and Bully.
It's also to note that this isn't the first time that the lawyer had been requested to take a seat in the comfy couch and asked to talk about his childhood - it's already been done before, with Jack coming away clean and getting a cool US$20,000 out of a settlement with the bar for damages. We can only wonder how he'll fare now, if he does comply with the Florida Bar's demands.

About time. I get sick of people trying to push their crappy religions on me and trying to take away enjoyment in my life. I don't expect much to come of this though. This guy will just protest if he has to since he has no life of his own he wants to tell people how they should run their own. I can't wait till this pathetic worm is turned back to earth and his remains used for something he really hates in about a million years or so.

Well, I never was a Jack Thompson fan, or a hater, either, but maybe this is fair. He may be getting what he deserves, or he may not, but anytime someone attacks something someone else believes is okay, they must always expect repercussions. I'm not a huge fan of GTA, or any Rockstar games, for that matter, but I was always worried that one day he might do something drastic like try to outlaw video games altogether. I am at peace, for the moment. By the way, 'Church and State', that's not really a fair statement, that Jack was trying to push his religion on you, but I agree that he was going too far. I happen to be a part of his 'crappy religion', but I am a huge video game fan and respect everyone's right to free speech.
Well, he stepped into a huge trap, which he'll probably never get out of. And it serves him right as well.
It is very sad that due to SONY's ignorance towards the safety of our children rockstar (and rockstar fans) suffer. Damn u sony!

I would just like to point out that this was not me that posted this awful comment.
I know that Jack Thompson has several issues with the Florida Bar. But that doesn't mean that his son has to follow in his father's footsteps. Most sons DON'T continue their father's legacy work. And besides, you're one to talk. Blabbing your mouth off like that.

It's not because he's pathetic, which he is, but because he needs an issue to milk to make himself a household name. If he wasn't working the tired old save the children from some nebulous threat angle, no one would know who Jack Thompson is.
You only feel that way because you are part of the group Jack is using. How can you think he ISN'T pushing his beliefs on others? I should be able to purchase any game I want, without some jackass crying about the children. How about the parents.... Don't be so hard on him. People have been doing messed up stuff to Jack's family, like mailing dildos to his wife and such. Does Jack say "Wait a minute, my family is being targeted. That only happens to families of *****s. Maybe I should stop." Hell no he doesn't.
