While a lot of racing games nowadays put a lot of detail into how realistic the vehicles look, there just doesn't seem to be enough racers where ramming your car into another at high speed gives you that addictive thrill (yes, we're a big fan of the Twisted Metal series).

All of that is going to change when Empire Interactive is set to release the tiniest demolition derby racer on the PSP with FlatOut: Head On. You can check out the first gameplay video movie released from Gamespot below and see just how much destruction a tiny handheld platform can hold.

The upcoming game in the FlatOut series will be developed by Six by Nine and is expected to hit shelves this coming January 15. Despite its smaller resolution compared to its other next gen released relative, FlatOut: Head On still captures the destruction and mayhem the series is known for.

From cars, 18-wheelers, to even the drivers themselves, the game is sure to curb any feelings of road rage players have after playing it. If you still don't believe me, go ahead and check out the video below.

» Another port...

This is just a port of the PC version. It looks good tough, and framerate is quite good too (if the video is not faked).
