Final Fantasy Dissidia demo playable at Jump Festa |
Ó
Jump Festa 2008 is an event sponsored by Shueisha, creators of the various Jump anthologies and it's where gamers and anime fans find new stuff to add to their growing collections. It was also announced today that a demo of Square Enix's Final Fantasy Dissidia will be playable in the event. Those who decide to make the trek to the Jump Festa will not only get to play the game, they will also be receiving a special gift.
If you're not familiar with FF Dissidia, it is a fighting game featuring some of the biggest names in the Final Fantasy series such as Squall, Zidane, Garlan, and even Kuja.
Considering that Jump Festa 2008 will also be featuring trailers for Final Fantasy XIII and the latest Kingdom Hearts demos, it looks like a paradise for Square Enix fans. So if you can afford it, you might want to book some tickets to Japan. Do remember that the event only runs from December 22 to 23.

If I understand that right, that will be like an Ehrgeiz clone, right?
Oh yes. Ehrgeiz has Final Fantasy characters so of course this game will be exactly like Ehrgeiz. But hey. Let's not mention how Ehrgeiz was jointly made by both Namco and Squaresoft just so Tifa and Cloud could have been added into the Arcade game, and Zack, Sephiroth, Yuffie, and Vincent could later be included into the PSX game.
I wish people would quit being so stupid to think that the only reason Ehrgeiz is there is because there are Final Fantasy characters in it.
Ken Godhand Mishima is without a doubt a character based off the Tekken series. You don't see people calling the game Tekken do you?
The game has easily the most well developed fighting system there, to the point that most people wouldn't be anywhere near as good as those who actually play through it repeatedly. It's easy to play, but it's harder to master than any fighter out there.

I don't know what yor reason is to attack me, but I never said that Ehrgeiz was only full FF characters. I played though the game many times, all with different characters. And I never said that it will be a bad Ehrgeiz clone, personally, I really liked Ehrgeiz, I would be even happy if the gameplay is similar. Read the comments again before you call people stupid. Just because the game is SIMILAR (for you again: similar) doesn't mean it will be bad.
My question was if Dissidia will be like Ehrgeiz. I wanted just a simple answer. But, hey, I can't blame you for not being able to answer a simple question, right?
and false information too.
yes i'm just whining, but QJ is very notorious in making FALSE headlines. why say PLAYABLE when the demo has not been played by anyone and the said event is not yet happening.
the event is expected to happen in a few days from now.
and this is not the only false headline QJ published, just go to QJ's archive news and you will see that there lots of these FALSE headlines.
@xche78x:
What's false about the headline? That it didn't "WILL BE" playable and not just playable? The whole context of the article says the event is upcoming. News headlines are shortened this way in any form of media. You're the irresponsible one for assuming right away it meant anything else.
Oh and guess what, the demo was PLAYABLE at JF, and IGN put up a hands-on preview about it. Appearantly the game rocks.
