FF VII Crisis Core demo: Coming soon(?) *UPDATE* |
Listed in: News Tags: Christmas, Square Enix, Tetsuya Nomura
Ó
We previously reported that Square's Tetsuya Nomura said there's "probably" gonna be an FFVII: Crisis Core demo coming out near the end of the year and from the looks of it, that "probably" might come true. PSP Demo Center made a couple of announcements at their site, and aside from other downloadable demos titles, they're announcing the imminent demo release for Crisis Core.
We can't say for certain when this demo will be released, but it does coincide with Nomura-san's aforementioned announcements. We're hoping that we'll be getting newer updates on this, hopefully as certain as Cloud's gravity-defying do.
While you're there, feel free to check out their other demos - you just might find a title you haven't picked up yet. Happy hunting.

UPDATE: power7714 from PSP Demo Center (well, by what he said, we take it that he is from PSP Demo Center) dropped us an e-mail informing us that the demos listed above and available for download on their site are test only demos. As such, they may not work properly. power7714 also said that the demos have not been tested by him or his staff:
So before everyone gets their hopes up, they haven't been tested by myself and my staff and were not to be released until they were confirmed working. The only reason they are up on the site is so that the psp community can test them. Everyone kept bugging and being impatient, so I put them up for testing only. There was no guarantee made that they do work.
Well, you can still give the demos a try - but just don't be too sad if they turn out to be non-functional. You have been warned, anyways. But don't be too bummed just yet, power7714 says they'll try really hard to have the demos "running smoothly before christmas". Yay!

None of them download via the psp, however, goto the site and there is a RAR file avaliable will all the test demos in it (goto his blog)
Even then, most of them don't show an image or are corrupt.
None of them load.
Even tried using eloader and then tried the Xloader for 2.80 on them... they don't work at all... although, I've never understood how people get these demos, They're rarely on the official websites.
so... I don't see why they've been posted as 'test demos'... but surely someone must know how to get them working?!

After that I'd tried changing the na,es of folders a few times to find one that works, still no luck.
My guess is that:
1 The so called source created some files and made them look like "real" PSP demo's and has a good laugh.
2 They are just up to put attention on the site (hope not).
3 The demo's are real but the folder names can't be found, (but a demo like The Con is less then 2 MB large (Size=1667) which seems very unlikely for a real demo.
4 They are not demo's but data which was sent from a PSP running a game and using it's gamesharing feature. The PSP running a shared game has the data for this game only in volatile memory which normally will be gone after the game/demo is ended. Maybe someone found a way to catch this data and store it, but this data is pretty useless because it can't be run from a MS.
Just some idea's, but I really hope there are real demo's between them and someone finds a way to make them work and proof that option 2 isn't true.
