Exit is - together with LocoRoco - one of the most original and inventive titles released for the Playstation Portable so far. Not only did Taito release a whole new bunch of extra content after the game was available but now in the latest issue of Famitsu, they've now announced that work has begun on a sequel. It will be called Kangaeru Exit, and once again it revolves around our hero Mr. ESC. Players will steer him into the most dangerous places to rescue as many people as possible before getting out of the situation himself. So this means that Kangaeru Exit will essentially feature the same basic gameplay mechanics as it's predecessor - which is not a bad thing. However, the article mentioned that the action elements will be reduced in favor of the puzzle gameplay; in the worst case, the sequel might drive off a few fans of the original and it's well-balanced genre mix.
110 stages in total are planned for Kangaeru Exit, and as before, Taito will provide additional downloadable content later on. The game is currently scheduled to hit Japanese shelves in September - any plans of a North America release are yet to be announced.
