Though this is just an announcement of a release window for just one major region, it's still one step closer to a retail release! At long last, we finally have something official on Dissidia: Final Fantasy's release in Europe and across other PAL territories.
Announcing to the press, Square Enix has scheduled their not-just-a-fighting-game FF brawlfest for autumn of this year. Yes, that's the window. No concrete month or date set just yet, but we'll take what we can.
See, back in February, they said they'll be making an announcement about this at the end of that month, however, now some three weeks late, I suppose that's fine nonetheless.
Now the weird thing here is that when the press release uses the words "autumn" and "PAL" in the same sentence, that's a bit confusing. Some PAL territories (like Australia) have their fall season as early as March, while everyone else in the northern hemisphere have it August! Hmm...
Meanwhile, North America's release date for Dissidia is still on "some time mid-2009" status.

All potential buyers have already pirated it.

even as a CSO, you don't save much space at all...
Same reason I bought Crisis Core. Some games deserve their rightful spot in the UMD tray.

Fine, people have pirated it off the Japanese version. But can you tell me for a fact that all 100percent of those "potential buyers who already pirated it" have fully understood and actually *enjoyed* Dissidia in its Japanese version?
