Enterbrain reveals Nintendo dominated 2007 Japan sales figures - Image 1Enterbrain has recently made it known to the public that Nintendo led the competition in terms of sales figures for the year 2007. They were able to come up with the information that the gaming company was able to gain enormous amounts from both their hardware and software sales.

In terms of hardware sales, the Nintendo DS topped the charts with having 7.1 million units sold. Following it was the Wii, with 3.6 million. Third in the running was the PlayStation Portable with 3 million. PS3 followed in pursuit with 1.2 million and the Xbox 360 with only 258, 000.

Wii Sports was able to conquer the software category having sold 1.9 million units. Second was Monster Hunter Portable 2 with 1.489 million. The Wii Play came in at third with 1.487 million. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon was fourth with 1.25 million, while Mario Party DS came close with 1.23 million units.

The hardware sales reached ¥327.41 billion (US$ 2.9 B) and the software sales reached ¥ 360.25 billion (US$ 3.3 B), totaling to a massive amount of ¥ 687.66 billion (US$ 6.2 B) in Japan.

hahaha, i had no idea the japanese have to pay for wii sports. i was scratching my head as to why it's numbers are half that of the wii.



i would of thought nintendo would be nicer to it's home...
