EA logo - Image 1 EA Games' Need For Speed franchise may have taken a turn stylistically with Need For Speed: ProStreet, but the company believes that its impact on the gaming business will be similar to that of its predecessors. EA Says that NFS: ProStreet should hold the top spot for the holiday season, like most of its predecessors.

"A Need for Speed game has been Christmas number one for four of the last five years, with FIFA only pipping it to the post last year in a debatable count back," says Steve Farrell, senior product manager at EA.

To ensure that Need for Speed: ProStreet rules all other titles in the season of giving, EA plans to throw some major investments in a PR campaign to drum up support for the title's launch. This EA speedster is due out on November for a worldwide release on the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PSP, mobile, and Nintendo DS. Farrell concludes:

We are confident the increased quality of the game this year – as well as our extensive marketing campaign, with support throughout the run-up to Christmas – will help to re-establish a Need For Speed game at number one.

Dont think so. When youre up against GH3, Rock Band, COD4, and whatever other great first person titles there are for each system, all a subpar racer like Prostreet has going for it is the name.

» The Game is Garbage

I'm extremely disappointed in this game. First year EVER I'm not buying NFS.

Until they decide to actually make a NEW game and not tuner retreads they can keep their garbage.

» What!? No Cop Chases!?

So far my favorite is Need For Speed Most Wanted. All around good. That was some fun serious chases. I hope the make a sequel to that one.

» well

Technically Carbon was a sequel to Most Wanted but it ended up being short, not so great-looking, and not so fun.

» Well

I liked playing Carbon on christmas holidays... But I finished it like in 5 days, so it was very disappointing. And you could finish the game with your starting car so I didn't even need Skyline ;P

» EA's has got to be on somethin'

I played the demo on the PS3, and I'm glad I did. ...then I deleted it. I definitely won't be buying this game.... It sucks from every catagory a modern game should be. This game is not even worth renting or the time to play it.
