EA get sneaky with Fight Night 3 |
Ó
Electronic Arts are stooping to a new low with the online components of Fight Night 3 for the PSP. The first time you attempt to play online, the game demands that you either pay two dollars via credit card, or sign up your email and home addresses to EA?s mailing list. Those players who do not own a credit card, or do not want to submit their card details over whatever wi-fi network they?re using at the time, are left with no option but to opt-in to spam from EA if they want to play Fight Night 3 online.

Your first mistake was giving EA games any money to begin with.
Absolutely reprehensible behavior on the part of EA. This is the digital equivalent of extortion: pay us or we'll get our money by spamming you.
I recommend that everyone make use of dummy or throwaway email addresses and fake mailing addresses. There's no way they can really check.
This isn't the digital equivalent of extortion, it basically is extortion. Sure it's optional IF you want to play online. But since it's a big draw, it's extortion.
EA is making me sick. Good thing they hardly produce any games I appreciate at all anyway.
They will be hearing about this one left and right i'm sure. But they are EA. They own the planet.
Tho i personally think that's low, it isn't a big deal, you can make some new email you're neve gonna use. But what's next? Will there even eb a way to easily "escape" it on their next cheap shot??
(Thanks GOD i don't even play any EA games!)
use this:
mytrashmail.com
heheh
i use dodgeit.com and pookmail.com
not only that, but ea doesnt even have a privacy policy to protect your info, so they could juz sell it of to porn sites or stuff like that..
why doesn't this surprise me on EA's part. Bunch of ****in moneygrubbers. I swear if it wasn't for their team Criterion (Burnout series, BLACK) i would not buy 1 ****ing game that comes from them. **** FIGHT NIGHT AND ALL THEIR ****IN MADDENS AND NBA LIVES.
they did this with FIFA 06 too.... old news
yeah and they did this for madden 06 too..
I've set up a GMail account just for this purpose. It fires copies of all the EA spam mail back to EA.
backatcha.ea@gmail.com
how stupid can people complaining get... it just means you'll take a few extra minutes and pump a few extra minutes of brain juice to make up some bull**** to fill in... i don't see why there's this need for whining...
