EA - Image 1It was merely a misunderstanding, says Electronic Arts (EA), regarding the EA forum moderator's threat that gamers could get banned from playing EA games for improper forum behavior.

They corrected that the forum and the access to games are different so it doesn't necessarily mean if you're banned from the forums then you're banned from the games.

So to those who are turning red from anger, cool down guys and dunk your heads in a bucket of ice cold water.  EA further explained:

Players can be banned if they breach the Terms of Service or Code of Conduct in a forum, game or service. Each forum, game and service is managed independently by customer support representatives responsible for that specific forum, game or service.

Just like Spore's issue earlier this year, users were threatened to be banned from the game if they discussed controversial DRM's title news on its official forums.  So now it is not all that bad because we learned something and that is to work on communication skills to avoid misunderstandings.
