Got enough musou to nail Mahjongg? In the tradition of portraying the Chinese classics, the Dynasty Warriors game for the PSP is taking a different turn compared to their PS2 counterpart. In the PSP, it's all about gambling. There is still no hint whether this is merely a side game in the Dynasty Warrior PSP game, however, Famitsu at least confirms that Dynasty Warriors will have a Mahjongg game for the PSP.

For this game, you could play with your favorite generals. More so, using the PSP's Wireless LAN option, you can connect four players into this shuffling game. More than Mahjongg, the game would also feature other classic Chinese and Japanese games such as Go and Shogi. Players have the option to play either one of those games. There will be a story mode for players to explore, wherein, instead of going around town and causing a ruckus by killing all soldiers, you will challenge generals in those towns with either Go or Shogi. You may also adjust how you want to play the game, for example in go, you have an option to play it with handicap or not.

This Famitsu feature on this coming Dynasty Warriors is definitely a laugh. If only it didn't have the release date of August 2006, I would have considered this as a joke. Nonetheless, this is a different dimension to Dynasty Warriors. If Dynasty Warriors aimed to at least teach its players the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", the historical Chinese war where this story was based from, then perhaps, with this game, Dynasty Warriors could teach its players a little more about Chinese culture, such as its games.
