Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1

True enough, Apogee Software's Duke Nukem announcement did come along this week: the press release has just arrived, in fact! And do we hear of anything about the status of Duke Nukem Forever? Why, of course not! (So some of you were actually waiting for it with bated breath? Aww, what a shame.)

So what's the big announcement? They're holding auditions for a live-action Duke Nukem model to strut around the country and market Duke's upcoming games!

...

Did I just spot a tumbleweed roll by?

Anyway, if you are interested in signing up for this gig, you've got to prove yourself Duke-worthy in front of a panel which includes some of Duke's very own creators. They'll be holding their search in three cities - applicants from other cities across America may freely join. Preliminaries are held via their website where you can upload your audition video.

The winning finalist gets to tour around US as the official Duke Nukem mascot/model. Whoever wins gets to promote the Duke Nukem Trilogy for the PSP and DS as Duke himself. (I'm assuming you'll be getting a group of babes to hang around you 80% of time)

If you got the mojo for it, just head to the Via link below where you can look up on more instructions for the contest and start uploading your videos.

Company goes broke... trying to make a game they've been working on for 12 years... files bankruptcy... and then announces they're looking for mascots?

Man... I want what ever they're injecting.

You're thinking of the wrong company. Apogee is not bankrupt (developer of DS and PSP version). It's only the developer '3D Realms' that's shut down (developer of the PC/Xbox360/PS3 version)

oh, thanks for clarifying
