DJ Max Portable 2 Champagne Gold edition - Image 1 Word is out on the web that Pentavision's DJ Max Portable 2 game, assumed to be a Korea-exclusive release for the PSP, is also available in Japan via a series of limited edition packages. The latest is the Japan-exclusive package dubbed the "DJ MAX Portable 2 Premier Limited Edition ~Champagne Gold~".

The pack isn't present at the official Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) site, and is only listed at the GDex online store. Here are some of the more interesting points GDex displayed for DJ Max Portable 2:
  • Over 60 original songs
  • 5-button mode
  • New "Fever" mode
  • Easy mode, for beginners
  • Soundtrack across 4 discs - the "most DJs in the history of gaming"
  • Over 500 hidden items
  • Linkage with DJ Max Portable for owners of the first game - play the original songs using the new play systems
  • Korean, Japanese, and English interfaces
  • Remote control support - use DJ Max Portable 2's Soundtrack Mode to enjoy songs whenever and wherever
  • Customizable control configurations
GDex also threw in a couple of Japan-exclusive posters, which features even more of the game art. What makes this offer enticing for the gaijin among us, however, is that DJ Max Portable 2's gold edition also carried English packaging and instructions - which could imply Pentavision's looking out for a more global release in the near future.

Korea had also picked up two similar limited edition packages last month, labelled the "Night BLACK" and "Metallic SILVER" edition packs. These were released alongside the gold edition in Japan, and aside from extras like postcards, a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle, and an art book, also featured are English instructions and packaging. They sold for KRW 86,000 (US$ 91.76), with only 1,000 of each being released in Korea. Orders for the Night Black were from February 14 to February 27, while orders for the Metallic Silver were from February 28 to March 14.

"first" comments

QJ.net needs to change "first" in the first comment to something else like "I eat ass constantly!" or something as humiliating

It's Out?

I'm really tired while reading this but, does it say DJMP2 is out already? Everywhere I go it says it's not going to be out until March 30. Unless I misread it, but if it's out now I'm gonna import it. And yeah, this game pwnz. Who doesn't want to play beatmania on the go?
