A week ago, we already received word that Cloud of Darkness and the Onion Knight from Final Fantasy III will be making their way to Square Enix's upcoming brawler, Dissidia: Final Fantasy. However, aside from the initial scan, there wasn't a lot to go on from the tiny screenshots and the two character mock-ups on them.

Fortunately, we were able to get our hands on additional Famitsu scans showing off some of the characters' flashier battle sequences in EX Mode. For those of you not familiar with this particular game mechanic, EX Mode gives a character a chance to unleash massive damage on his or her opponent, similar to the series' trademark Limit Break attack.

One of the screenshots in scans even show the green tinged version of Cloud of Darkness that Gino D. mentioned in his introductory article to the FF3 characters. From what we can make out, you can also take a look at some quick costume changes from the very versatile warrior.

In any case, it definitely looks like Dissidia: Final Fantasy is shaping up to be one great Square Enix extravaganza. We hope they reveal even more characters very soon. In the meantime, why not read through our Dissecting Dissidia feature article, which you can access through the link below.

I just wikied it and the character list sure is short. YOu'd think they'd pack in as many characters as possible. I wanna play Cid, Vincent, Kimahari, Quistis, Vaan, Fran, Yuna and Lulu! dammit! LOL.

» yeah

but it's for story purposes. i think that Cosmos and Chaos each summoned one character from FF1-10 to help retrieve the crystals or something. at leats that's what i read somewhere

but hey, who wouldn't want to play Cid? Skydive bombing + airship bombing + win
