Bomberman - Image 1

A Japanese man has been arrested for threatening to blow up the Japanese video game company Hudson. His reason? They wouldn't listen to his criticisms of their games.

The 29-year-old suspect, a part-time courier named Takao Ike, had apparently threatened the company 11 times, from October 2008 to January 16 this year. Apart from the bomb threat, Ike also demanded an 80 trillion yen ransom.

Ike admitted to the bomb threat. In an affidavit, he said that he did it because even though he had let Hudson know about his demands regarding their games, the games themselves didn't improve. I wonder what particular game really ticked him off.

haha I love Bomberman. Well, the older ones. He threatened them 11 times? I wonder why it took so long.. maybe they had trouble tracking him.. Or maybe they were like "this guy needs to stfu"!!! I wonder why he demanded 80 billion yen? That's just stupid.

Almost one trillion dollar ransom, epic lulz

" I wonder what particular game really ticked him off"

Probably all of them, Hudson's games have been pretty mediocre of late

So is misquoting the article? Especially when it says trillion, and not billion? Are we so unsure of ourselves that we have to write our sentences in the form of questions?

I thought Star Soldier R was pretty OK actually, but I'll have to agree that a lot of Hudson's recent releases have been sub-par.

» Correction Karl

The Majority of Hudson's games have been sub-par.

Could it be that this was the Angry's video game Nerd fault? He just made a video on one of Hudson's game. Probably the kid watched it then got really pissed.

Man, imagine the carnage.

It would have taken out all of the streets opposite and parallel.

Can't believed I registered just to post that lame joke :/

Now THAT is funny! XD

» I don't see the fun in that.

Seriously, odd ways of blowing things up is only funny in games and anime, not in real life.

» Haha

Could of been a LOT worse if you think about it. If he had an extra heart, he could of done that trick where you continuously lay bombs causing constant explosions wherever you walk. Now THAT would be been messy :/

» yeah

I highly doubt that Milon's Secret Castle had anything to do with this.

Salsa almost shot out of my nose when I read this (and that would have been incredibly painful). Hilarious.

Now...

If only someone would do this to Nintendo...

rofl

Indeed.

If he took that tactic though, he probably would have trapped himself. Maybe if he managed to find one of those kangaroo/rabbit things. Hopefully for him he would get the jumping one, not that gay dancing one.

Well I laughed.

Some people get very attached to their gaming worlds. You should see the constant tirade of venom Blizzard gets concerning their MMO World of Warcraft. The forums are constantly abuzz with threats from the gamers - it's quite amusing tell the truth.

» lol too true

I stay as far away as humanely possible from all MMO forums, because the people on there are batsh*t crazy. When they're not playing the game 8 hours a day they're on the forums bi*ching about how it sucks. Losers

Sometimes they do have the occasional good thread. I'll never forget the classic "did he drop any good loot", which someone replied in the WOW forums to a topic in which the OP explained how his brother died.
