Disgaea Portable gets extras in Japan |
Ó
Again, we ask you gamers. How badly do you want your Disgaea Portable?
If you remember our earlier post, we let you in on the fact that Nippon Ichi Software America needs your support to get Disgaea Portable ported for American (and hopefully European) gamers. Some of you might have already visited Nippon Ichi's site, and sent their emails or added the game to the top of their personal wishlist (It's on top of the wishlist rankings, by the way). Now it's time to add some fuel to the fire by telling you just how good the Japanese gamers are getting it.
Some new things have been added into the PSP version, some of which are just nice little touches, but with one of them being a rather big deal for fans of the series. Completionists will have to contend with: a Music House system, which lets you purchase various BGM tracks and play them in your home base; a Record House system, which lists your company's general battle statistics; and a Demon Boundary Picture Book (gotta love those translations), which lets you read up on each of the game's monsters and baddies, including those you've recruited. The big thing, however, is two new stages. In these, you will get the opportunity to fight Adel and Rozalind, the protagonists of Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories for the PS2. If you think we're kidding, we've got screenshots below.
Dengeki Online mentions the release of both a Limited Edition and regular version of the game, and the above pictures are for the Limited Edition and regular types of packaging, respectively. The Limited Edition gets you a copy of the original soundtrack for the game, and a maxi single album as well.
If you thought you had problems completing everything the game offered the first time, you're in for a big surprise. Just keep pleading with the gods (or demons) of Nippon Ichi to send Disgaea Portable elsewhere, and we'll get our own eventually. For gamers who don't mind imports, the game ships out on November 30 with the ¥ 5,040 (US$ 40) and ¥ 7,140 (US$ 60) editions of the game.
