Dissidia: Final Fantasy - Image 1Last time, we brought you the trivia about Dissidia originally being made for the PlayStation 2. Today, we have another delightful small-talk piece concerning the game that every PSP owner's got to be waiting for, Dissidia: Final Fantasy. This time, it's about DFF originating from Kingdom Hearts. Did you know (part 2)?

Again, it was Tetsuya Nomura who blew the cover away from this surprising tidbit in an interview found in the recently released Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Ultimania, a guide book for the game.

Here's the transcription of that particular portion of the interview:

Where did the idea to use the Organization members for the multiplayer come from?

Nomura: We made a game where characters from various FF games got together to battle, Dissidia, but that was a project we were originally thinking of using for KH. However, deciding it would be a bad idea to make Disney characters fight each other, it never materialized for KH and ended up shifting to FF. Even this time we thought that it would be difficult to bring out Disney characters and have them fight each other in multiplayer, and wondering what to do, we arrived at the idea of using Organization XIII.

These guys were still connected to Disney, but we thought it would be okay because they were original KH characters. Also, with all their attributes and weapons being different, it would be easy to show their individuality, so made a scenario where you could play as Organization XIII in multiplayer. After deciding that, when we were thinking about which time period we should place the scenario in, we thought if we cut out the one year that Roxas was in the Organization it would link well with the multiplayer idea.

'every PSP owner's got to be waiting for'

Don't bet on it. Haven't found a Square game remotely interesting since Einhander...

I've enjoyed a few games (though they were ports of their earlier titles) but yea, I'm faaaar from waiting for Dissidia.

After reading all this nonsense (takes 100 hours to complete, yada) I'm giving up on these guys for a bit. Nothing but hyperbole.

Because Dissidia is going to be probably one of the best psp games ever released in the states. I already purchased the Asia version of it and played through half of it.

And it does take a while to complete but 100 hours I wouldn't thinks so. That is only if you want to get Everything and max everything. Because that means you would be playing through the game like 12 times.

And this game beats Einhander, hands down. And to be honest I don't see why you didn't like crisis core (if you have even played it) if you liked Einhander.

If you played KH you'd prolly fought sephiroth and cloud. You can tell they were gonna make a VS game then.
